Its not a real boat used by military, only for movie. It have two retractable gating gun on both side, its not mounted on turret so it can only shot forward. The crews sit side by side. Tank boat bridge reminds of of that movie, though I only remember it vividly, maybe you know?Mark VI ?
The main turret still not enough?By the way, they should definitely install some made in Indonesia RCWS on front side of the each hull, doesn't need to be stabilized or complicated just simple RCWS to be operated from the bridge. That will be great for the fire support on the the shore.
Having simultaneous protection on both sides on the beach is vital, probably they plan to use crew positions on the rear deck with machine guns, but i am always in favor of RCWS + manned machine gun redundancy, either or both can be used when needed. The main turret still not enough?
What do you think about design improvement that can be done from the current design?Having simultaneous protection on both sides on the beach is vital, probably they plan to use crew positions on the rear deck with machine guns, but i am always in favor of RCWS + manned machine gun redundancy, either or both can be used when needed.
You mean something like CB90, KMC Komando, Taiwanese MPAC i think.I am thinking rather than using both hulls to carry troops then climbing to the front and disembark from a ramp, maybe make the front of both hull like the rear of APC.
That's even better suggestion than mine. You mean something like CB90, KMC Komando, Taiwanese MPAC i think.
They can make exits on each hull either towards inner or outer side. Inner side sounds more secure to me, and they can lower portion of the front deck as a ramp to further allow the teams disembark.

I think they will update the design as it is used by Army and feedback is given.
It was a quick one,That's even better suggestion than mine.
Just exit from the front. It was a quick one,
I am sure there will be some other troubles for opening a hatch on the side, making it watertight and keeping hull integrity. But i am sure they can solve those matters if it comes down to that.
I wonder if they employed that boat in such Landing on Normandy event play as US army soldier that disembak from LCUJust exit from the front.
It have smoke grenade, it will help even a little.I wonder if they employed that boat in such Landing on Normandy event play as US army soldier that disembak from LCU
Me as German machinegunner : get ready guys, target practice start.
Perhaps the most possible ways to do disembarkation without changing much layout and shape of Antasena is moving disembark mechanism to the back of vehicle (despite am still love if its has CB90-like disembark mechanism), other than that if they insisted to carry RHIB , which last footage has shown it then they should make the stern more slope. It have smoke grenade, it will help even a little.
so the soldier will be disembark from the deeper part of the water ?Perhaps the most possible ways to do disembarkation without changing much layout and shape of Antasena is moving disembark mechanism to the back of vehicle (despite am still love if its has CB90-like disembark mechanism), other than that if they insisted to carry RHIB , which last footage has shown it then they should make the stern more slope.
Imho, since Ludin is swedish they should install RBS 90
Not so great idea, further more the presence of boat propeller could seriously injure the troops.so the soldier will be disembark from the deeper part of the water ?
propeller not really a concern in this case (since the boat using waterjet with enclosed nozzle anyway) , was once thinking like anmdt said , but too much moving part on that section could become a 2 sided blade and if somethings wrong happened (door or ramp on the inner bow hull can't be closed) it can risk the hull to get flooded , perhaps why not all the frontal section between two hull can be lowered down and then extended at a comfortable angle , atleast make the disembarkation process more convenience for the soldier .Not so great idea, further more the presence of boat propeller could seriously injure the troops.
Well then, the olny options available is stay with this design, or move forward to redesign the boat to have ashore troops deployment
and there are philippines with their star wars rain coatUS cadets had nice uniform, look classical but neat and had modern touch at the same time. I believe there is many ranks and files in the Napoleonic era willing to serve with such nice looking uniform

compared to this one , that are to steep and risking some soldier slipped and plunge into the shore .
