We simply do not have an ABM capability, and this would be a great stopgap until we do in 2030s. Latest news is that a German PAC-3 will replace the one Americans sent 2 months ago, probably so that the American battery can be sent to the Gulf.

The Patriot battery will only stay for 1–2 months… that’s nothing at all. It would have been better to reject the offer. The German media and especially the comments on the articles about the PATRIOT Transfer to Turkey show just how much hatred toward Turkey has been stoked over the years by years of framing by the German government, the media, and lobby groups.
I wish relations between Turkey and Germany were purely economic in nature.
No more cultural or other ties to pursuea massive volume of trade is enough to keep a relationship stable. Since Germany is already under the thumb of the U.S. and Israel anyway, any investment is a waste of time and money in a country that has already made its decision.
