What is more interesting is that there is a mention of a turbofan engine from the same core. This may just be an indication of an intent to make one and not have been attempted at all as yet. It would be fantastic if there is one though.

This engine seems to have been developed as a side product to the TS1400 engine and probably has the same BHP rating as its turboshaft equivalent. I have seen this engine at one of the trade-shows and it does have a similar combustor size to the TS1400 engine.
