F16 has a lot of drag with its big wings and a large cross section. A super-cruise capable engine will have a better mileage with smaller wings and overall smaller cross-section. I happened to start sketching such a missile, it will be a basic thing just to show the shape.
I don't want it to return, I want it to have the maximum range and a sizable payload. It is like making an intercontinental air breathing missile on available resources. It can be launched from land, from an LHD or an aircraft Carrier.
I am envisioning one where the engine will be integral or separable with the payload and with single or multiple heads or missiles on it. It is just that a fighter turbofan can act as an engine of a very large cruise missile. One that can take off from a catapult or rail accelerator and fly at...
Does anyone know of a missile equipped with a full size fighter jet engine. Like you strap an F16 engine onto a bundle of 7 rockets and a small wing like it is a cruise missile together with a diameter of 4 feet or so?
How much range would it have with the max speed the engine can afford? It can...
No weapons system without local production capability can be relied upon. The 12 engines seem to be for prototypes only. Local production must be a few short years away. But I have a question...
EDIT: Moved to strategic technologies section.

Seems like it is only the torque tube that they are introducing to adjust the pitch angle of the power turbine blades is the innovation this...
Turkey is on the verge of skipping the middle income trap and being highly self sufficient in technologies. The decade we are entering will hopefully be the decade we pull it off.
A second train is being prepared and it will carry refrigerators of BSH company just like the first train did.

This design is good for stealth and compactness but when it comes to very high speed a fighter type side inlets may be preferable. Also as it is not intended for dogfight that requires high maneuverability perhaps a Gen6 type rudderless design can be implemented.
All around this is a good design for an UCAV although I am not sure how it compares to a manned fighter like an F22 for maneuverability. And we don't know if such a design still has unexpired platens going with it.
Some twitter account claims Aksungur's design will be similar to the General Atomics Avenger. Avenger's top speed is 400kt (740kmh). I guess the engine air inlet will be on the top aft while the wings will be swept back to fit inside the sonic cone.
So, Havelsan is a drone maker too now.
With the number of drone makers increasing there is a better chance that new projects can be evaluated now. Good.
Their design is of the sort that is considered basic.
Save some fuel for the terminal stage and you will be good. Unless you will jettison the engine or you can't ration the fuel that is. A small missile won't be detected from that far away by a radar, and speeding up when it gets closer to detecting range or maneuvering to get under the radar and...

THY Technic makes its own entertainment media server.
Small jet turbines have 25-50 hour overhaul intervals which is acceptable for many applications. A British company wanted to use them on automobiles but the emergence of electric cars killed the idea.
