Interesting little story here @500

I am avoiding whole issue altogether. There are better things to focus time on here.

Will Indonesia make a firm call soon in first half of this year?

IMO, US has made a critical error with its Turkey policy, given Turkey is in NATO. If I was in US position I would always have made sure to keep Turkey on my side as far as possible....rather than treat it quite contemptuously. Any differences with turkey govt, there is lot of avenues for that...

It is probably the squadron flag since it has a jaguar on it etc. Just coincidence I guess it shares colour scheme of dutch flag.

Good to see power consumption is returning to normal and growing at brisk pace....it is underlying indicator that economic activity is coming back to shape...

Thanks bro, but I don't know anything about these political details to comment. I hope and wish Turkey the best through this.

Like I guess if you really want to brag about it. But this is corona effect driven. I really wouldn't call it a "net creditor" till the difference between the two is lot larger (given overlap of lot of instruments) and also structurally sustained over many more years (which it wont be as soon as...

I will reply after conferring with mods if its appropriate given the language levelled here...

That's true, the scout SLV and everything....viking engine from France etc etc. I guess in a way it was all originally stolen from the 3rd reich's program ultimately. You ever read about operation paperclip out of interest?

Yes it was a NASA derived one...and thus ahead of much more populous China too...if we are talking about Asian space program results here downstream that all had very different initial conditions. There is after all a reason why Pakistan has not launched since US sanctions after the 65 and 71...

It is a long subject to get into (US and Western politics and system). Overall thing I have found with extended study is there is a mismatch going on w.r.t how Western societies used to grow (when the system was set up) and how they grow now....w.r.t such things as wealth and innovation...and...

Thats a big rap sheet. You got evidence for this....that too for the entire group as whole? This is an extreme approach....any protest can simply be labelled (tarred and feathered so to speak) this way by those powerful enough if we do not have evidence, courts and legal process.

West is just a geography and broad culture....like any other. I don't talk about conservative, liberal and progressive from a western definition at all, but a larger conceptual one that applies everywhere. Though I probably am most familiar with the western context and application of it (though...

Yes the "who" matters a lot given people have bias and often nefarious intent w.r.t people that disagree with them. I am just giving the broad contours of the overall concept in my understanding. There is no absolute reference and perspective here. I have various things about me arguably (IMO)...

So what would you propose? I have much enjoyed reading some of your commentary in other threads, so I am interested if you or others have some solutions. As an outsider (who is sympathetic to the students side so my bias is known), these protests (cause and escalation) seem to be classic...

Broadly a conservative wants to keep things rooted to an existing or earlier paradigm (w.r.t society)...i.e he/she in favour of conserving that. A progressive wants to change things to another paradigm they see as better or more ideal (and that they see as not existing in enough prevalence in...

That's because extremists are interested in power (above everything and to the near exclusion of everything else)....not the interests and welfare of people (who are merely a means to be used for the achievement of this power). Thus you will do more and more at any cost to get that power...

https://navyrecognition.com/index.php/news/defence-news/2021/february/9632-deployement-of-french-maritime-patrol-aircraft-atl2-in-barkhane-operation.html According to information published on the Twitter account of the French Defense Staff on February 2, 2021, the French Navy has deployed...

@Paro @Milspec @Zapper et al, might be of interest to you, along the lines of what I mentioned earlier: https://www.aeromag.in/aerospacesingle.php?aero=950 "Specialised facilities for Heat Treatment, special processes and hangars for structural assembly of aircraft are being created in this...
