@Saithan you will find this one interesting...

Overall a good synopsis for members here to have a look to see how the issues at hand (that many know in much greater resolution here) implant into the more regular media presentation + regular audience. This conveyance carries significance to broader public take on things. Turkey vis a vis...

Are things as bad as the article says they are? What have members heard about this? It is high time (imo) that India isolates+atrophies the natasha lobby embedded in south block babusphere. Russia is inertia-driven relationship, its not aligning with our interests geopolitically increasingly...

Honestly its not my field of expertise. I would prefer Indian MIC gets good at both developing and producing artillery since its such a basic thing. So from that sense I would prefer ATAGs any day even with some cost premium...given others have amortisation + economy of scale from their...

Frankly very expensive (opex) to Indian needs. Refurb costs could be quite high too for remaining service life that can be done that way. Also US will pull out the nuclear reactor for sure and India will find that too big obstacle to have happen in any such deal...not to mention finding a new...

It not surprising, they been force-fed "communism" is the bestest thing ever, its the only thing they know (strangely most don't even understand communist theory itself). The supremacists inevitably rise to power and stay there cocooned because of this absolute zero-sum thinking and then there...

Yes I'm sure it (what every country in the world does regarding its enemies) explains away all this too: https://theconversation.com/poll-finds-more-favourable-attitudes-towards-indian-immigrants-than-pakistanis-and-bangladeshis-why-96040 ...or the fact you can simply go to a certain "Defence"...

I guess GUMS will be like a Turkish THAAD. Do we know if its a single stage or double stage rocket? From this earlier (2019) release, interception profile is given at around 30 km "and over" ...

Yah I follow the banter at BR after he posts something lol.

Keep everything in here for now...the forum is new and this kind of delicate subject is better starting a bit more slow non-confrontational pace etc. As member interest/participation/activity increases with time for this subject, I will split whats in here to new separate threads as...

I dont know what they mean then heh. There is only so much you can do with 2 plate design given edge effects (thats why each only has 120 degree, or 150 degree on erieye....and not 180 each). Its solved easily by adding one more plate, 120*3 = 360.

@Paro it's going off topic a bit, but interesting read regardless about this kind of issue from earlier throwback period...with shekhar gupta writing it even...

Definitely for reading and writing, its a big leg up if you already know the latin script from own language, the basic sounds etc do not change much between languages. Spoken wise, you need people to speak to and that can be an issue ofc for any language, whatever its writing system.

Literally there is wasted capacity if we just trading up embraer for a320 and using same netra array. It would make next to no sense to me. Well its not impossible, I am thinking a legacy platform nearing its way out of service kind of thing (like say sentry or hawkeye) but it would be fairly...
