She is the first Turkish tennis player to make it to the third round in a Grand Slam.
Unfortunately she lost to a seeded player Jekatarina Aleksandrova(18) in the third round.

Man the Nizami Cedid Line Infantry in Empire Total War were so underrated.

It showed me omce again if the Ottomans modernised and reformed their military before hitting the 1800s the empires fortunes may have turned around.

It wont prevent the inevtiable collapae but would have at least delayed collapse if not minimise Ottoman losses in its wars.

Such a shame how corruption destroys everything. Balkan Feudal lords, Jannisaries, Religious conservatives all worked to together to destroy the New Order because it threatened their privledges.

modernization wouldn't have done much against the empires enemies since they outnumbered the Ottoman empires popular to 1 to 20.
