AFAIK Hisar -U is SİPER. First They had called Hisar-U then officially they called SIPER. İ might be wrong. But nowadays officially nobody calls Hisar-U.Can someone explain why we have 2 long distance air defence systems being developed? Namely, Hisar-U and Siper.
Hisar-U , as far as I understand is the longer range version of Hisar A, O, A+, O+. Basically designed to stop air breathing threats at a distance of 90-120km range and 20+km altitude. It will employ a dual pulse engine as it’s smaller brothers.
Siper on the other hand will be a missile that will be operating at a higher altitude. Probably 30+ km . Have a similar range , around 120km. But still have a dual pulse engine . Specifically designed for anti ballistic missiles duty and also for air breathing threats.
Why don’t we take the same route as the Stamp systems? Aster 30 block 2 BMD would solve all our problems. It can be operated from naval platforms as well as operating from land. It would be a Swiss Knife type of AD system. One missile for all threats; Air breathing, and ballistic missiles with 3000km range (MRBM).
