Zhuhai Airshow Highlights China 6th-Generation Fighter Prototype Designed for Space Missions.

At the 15th edition of the Zhuhai International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, which opened on November 12, 2024, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) revealed a full-scale model of its new 6th-generation fighter concept, named "Baidi" or "White Emperor." Inspired by a deity from the Shang dynasty, this futuristic aircraft embodies China's ambitions in advanced aeronautical technologies, though it remains a conceptual model with no operational capabilities.

The "Baidi" is part of the "Nantianmen" project, a national research and development program focused on future technologies. This initiative aims to push the limits of aerospace by exploring the integration of atmospheric and space missions. Designed to operate near the edge of space, the "Baidi" is theoretically capable of reaching the Kármán line, approximately 100 kilometers above Earth, marking an ambitious leap for a 6th-generation fighter. However, it remains a technological vision rather than a functional aircraft.

America's policy towards Turkey has always been based on delaying the Turkish defense industry, so they have more time to unite PYD and Israel. They plan to do this before we can stand on our own feet, that's all there is to it, of course if the ongoing balances in the world allow it... So They will provide us the engines but with delay.

Then you have to bet on several horses and Turkey does that too! With air defense systems for land and sea, ballistic missiles, and the Anka 3 and Kizilelma Project.
If these systems are really ready in 2-3 years together with the Gezgin cruise missiles and the integration of SOM cruise missiles with the stealth drones. With their sheer quantity of 30-40 units each and a total of 60-80 units from 2029/30, they alone can give Iran/Russia, France/Greece, USA & Israel a hint to keep their feet still. With the combination of F-16 Özgur I/II and Eurofighters, Turkey has time until 2035 to develop TAI KAAN with its own engine.

Sadly with snap elections happening in February here this deal will be delayed until then and then depending on the outcome it could fall apart. I do not think that the SPD and Scholz want to have "sold Türkiye Eurofighters" hanging around their neck during the election.

According to this swiss article the matters has been handed off to the German Export Control Committee. Which would mean green light on the political side. This in theory would mean there are no political hurdles left. But as I said with snap elections in february I would not expect any answer until they are over and their fallout could mean this deal still being toppled by whoever is in charge. Let's hope it will be a coalition of CDU+SPD that will emerge. If in any shape a leftist party finds its way in to the ruling coalition we can say bye bye to this deal.

It's not as simple as that - the Germans had the gun put to their chest by the other consortium members to agree to the deal!
Many billions of euros are at stake and the jobs of the respective countries are at stake.
I would even go so far as to say that the consortium members
threatened to dissolve and re-establish the Eurofighter consortium without Germany, otherwise the Foreign Minister Yasar Güler would not have used this statement that the other members would use their influence on Germany to get Germany to agree.
All of a sudden they changed their minds through massive pressure from the other members.
If the Germans refuse to accept a new government, e.g. a coalition with AfD, GRÜNEN (Yesil Parti) and CSU/CDU parties.
Then the British will be the first to fuck the Germans in the ass, the German arms industry already has its back to the wall.
Nobody wants to cooperate with them on sensitive defense technologies because they are too unpredictable. Back then, the Germans solved their whims of doing good by pumping billions more into the project, thereby reassuring the other members.
That no longer works, the other countries prefer to do without the money because they know they can easily recoup it by exporting.
They were not even invited into the TEMPEST program of the British, Japanese and Italians, and the French with the Spanish in the FCAS are putting more and more pressure on Germany to develop and manufacture a large part of the aircraft from Dassault, including with a majority right. The French are even threatening to kick Germany out of the project and would even be prepared to finance the project alone with the Spain.
Or even worse, Spain would feel confirmed that the Germans are a drag and switch to the TEMPEST program. All defense industry nations are fed up with Germany.
In contrast to Germany, Dassault's order books are full of orders from Rafaele & Co and they can also finance a GEN 6 aircraft on their own.

They can't. Germany owns the IP as do other members. There was never going to be a Eurofighter sale without Germany's approval.

That's true, but it's also true that BAE Systems did a study to see if they could make all the Eurofighter subsystems themselves, you can guess why they did that. They are no longer part of the EU and they would be fined and the threat of Germany would go into the void of infinity.

Well, the problem is not only legal anymore, the production line in UK is about to fully close if there are not any new orders and that's not acceptable for the future of Tempest, Turkey may even consider buying more EFs if they end up liking the plane and also receive the option to integrate their domestic weapons/systems.

F4 Phantom’s 50 years of service in TurAF was celebrated with a “valley pass” before invited guests!

Baba, I wish you could stay with us another 50 years.
I hope, no I pray that after their retirement they could keep couple of them in flying condition so that we can see them on flight shows and Victory Day parade.

Thats why the Tempest program does not have Germany in it.

Germans are the worst in having defence programs.

Cant be trusted.

Spectacular footage of a Turkish F-4E Terminator 2000 fighter jet, made in the US, has been released. The F-4E Terminator 2000 fighter jet is in a special livery dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the aircraft's operation in the Turkish Air Force. The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter jet was created in the US in the late 1950s, and production of the aircraft was completed in 1981. The Turkish Air Force has been using F-4 fighter jets since 1974 and has upgraded the aircraft several times. F-4 aircraft are currently in service with the Air Forces of Iran, Greece, South Korea and Turkey.

The F-4 is truly a timeless design, whether you are interested in aviation or not, its stance in the skies is very striking. It always creates unforgettable shots if there are good aviation photographers in a well planned organization.

The F-4 is an old plane, but I like its design. I had a model of this plane when I was a kid.

Germany has begun the sale process of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Turkey after initial opposition. A “sales authority” has been mandated to work on the potential sale of 40 jets, which is expected to accelerate the process, Reuters reported, citing a Turkish defense ministry source. “Technical work is continuing regarding the procurement of the Eurofighter Typhoon jet, which can be an alternative to meet the operational needs of our Air Force,” the outlet quoted the source as saying.

This demonstration was not only to showcase the talents of Turkish pilots, but also to show that such an old system is maintained and kept up to date. They really did a great job!

Minister Güler said, "An initial payment of 1.4 billion dollars has been made for the F-16s. 40 F-16s will be purchased. We have abandoned the 79 modernization kits. The Americans stated that they could provide the F-35."
