One of the reasons for this comparison is not only the similarities in twin-boom tail design of both aircraft, which have (and will have) an important place in the history of naval aviation, but also the possibility that we may see a TB-3+ with a turbofan engine that will be positioned between the TB-3 and KE very soon after the TB-3 deliveries begin.


TAI TISU and, if the project receives support, Hurjet Naval, on the other hand, Kızılelma, Tb-3 and other projects being worked on. Turkish naval aviation is perhaps too late in terms of developing and operating combatant class fixed wing platforms, but it is on the verge of a major breakthrough in unmanned systems, and I believe that it will have a much greater variety of platforms than expected in the 10-15 year period.

Right, I apologize for the wrong photo. I hastily took a photo from google images, but even when you zoom in on the photo, it already says tb-2 on the tail boom. The reason I added Çaldıran was because the tail structure was the same as the De Havilland Vampire.

In another thread, a friend of ours ( @Javaid ) asked what Baykar's post-KE move would be. I can say that we will see many more surprises from Baykar in the next 10 years. Especially in naval aviation. When it comes to aircraft carriers, there will be different needs. Not only tactical systems, but also command and control, electronic warfare and tanker drones will be on the agenda.

Kızılelma, TB3 and some other UAVs and possibly Hürjet will be flown from this ship. It is only natural to call this ship a Plane Carrier ship. I bet more weapons dropped by the planes flow from this ship will hit their targets than many other larger Carriers.

There is neither a catapult system nor arresting gear on TCG Anadolu so how do you want to launch/land Hürjet and Kizilelma?

İsmail demir, head of SSB (agency for defence industry) said anadolu can carry 50 to 100 ucavs

Several info about her capacity to carry 18 to 24 choppers and fighters. Ut depends on the combination. I assume when she carries 24 choppers/fighters or 100 ucavs, it is not possible for her to carry any other vehicle (tank armoured vehicles etc)

Why is the Anadolu not using the Cenk-S AESA radar with 4000 GaN modules that have 2x longer ranges than Thales Smart-S Mk2?

Why is the Anadolu not using the Cenk-S AESA radar with 4000 GaN modules that have 2x longer ranges than Thales Smart-S Mk2?
I think they already brought phalanx and Smart S Mk2 for Anadolu before the embargo, so they decided to just stick with them instead of gokdeniz and Cenk S.
