Word reserve is carrying a lot of this post. M48s and M60s are still very much prevalent in active units in both 2nd Army and Aegean Army. Still plenty of mixed units with M60A3s in Syria as well.According to the information given to the public in 2030, we will probably have a tank inventory as follows.
Altay (T1 + T2 ) 250
Leopard 2T 350
M60T 170
M48s are 750 completely out of inventory,
Leopard 1s are 400 reserves,
M60A3 are 650 reserves
So, who is Roketsan's MZK modernization project designed for? Will we implement this modernization package for our own tanks, or do we plan to modernize and sell our M60 tanks to allied countries?

I don't think it's realistic for the entirety of some 330 Leopard 2s to be modernized under TİYK in 5 years, probably would take more. And we also won't see 250 Altays by 2030. If all goes according to plan, we will have 85 Altays by 2028 with T2 for 165 more starting from 2028.
MZK turret was a tech demonstrator, we have not seen an actual interest from the army. It is possible that army plans to upgrade just the Leo2s and get more Altays. So that we can finally replace M48s.
