Well it is good news that the production seems to have begun. Remember they were suppose to build Altay with the existing power packs we had secured. Before it all went bad.

If there is an update on when the first Altay with SK engine is going to be delivered that would be worth something looking to.
Costumers from other countries is waiting too. If production for Altay is starting than we need video. This will start with a lot of visits from costumers to Ismail Demir.

They will demand like "Show me Show me the new platform"

This means they started building the T1 tanks with the stop gab engines? Should be 20 or so? After that, then what? Still no solution

I guess they are hoping that the Korean deal will be finalized by then.

I guess it makes sense that preparing serial production line for the Korean powerpacks. Geting some experience and fixing the problems with the low level production might be beneficial.

Or they might be trying to build the tanks for the elections.

Is this number correct? ~ 20 engine + transmissions from Germany arrived to Turkey before they halted delivery?

"During the ALTAY AMT Development Phase, a total of 5 sets of EuroPowerpack Power Packs were procured under the €12 Million contract signed in October 2010.
4 of these were used in PV1, PV2, MTR and FTR Prototypes and Preliminary Prototypes, and the 5th power group was used in the tank chassis (prototype 5), which was produced by Otokar on its own initiative for use in mobility tests."

"An Otokar official I spoke to at that time stated that the 5th power group was financed by Otokar's own funds. ALTAY-AHT (Asymmetric Warfare Tank), exhibited by Otokar at IDEF '17 Fair, was shaped on the 5 ALTAY AMT body/chassis. Therefore, I was evaluating the delivery of PV1, PV2, MTR and FTR Preliminary Prototypes and Prototypes using 4 power groups by Otokar at the end of ALTAY AMT Phase-I. However, It is claimed that Otokar has also delivered the 5th EuroPowerpack Power Group to the SSB. Therefore, only 5 ALTAY T1 AMT deliveries will be possible in the first stage with the existing power group sets until the Korean Power Group delivery begins."

Ok forget

OK let's forget Altay, pretend all of that is to blame on the Germans.

What about the Leopard 2A4 upgrades that BMC was supposed to deliver. Blame the Germans?
Maybe. BMC wants to use German technology.

The whole Altay serial tender from begin to end was one big farce.

And so goes the theater to her end.

Pity and an obvious treason committed

What I find highly disturbing is that nobody is even asking what happened to the BMC Leopard 2A4 modernization.

What is it why the government is keeping so silent about BMC?

The subject of giving up on BMC Karasu Tesisleri investment was on the agenda today, but I had made this information in my IDEF 2021 Fair news. Karasu Facilities had a very soft ground due to its proximity to the sea. water on the factory grounds even during the groundbreaking ceremony

Rinse repeat, same subject.

sorry but this excuse is lame, even if it's true it's really the incompetence of the construction firm but I'm personally not buying it. There should have been a feasibility study before starting the construction and it could be found out before, not after starting it.

So BMS is trying to create excuse but, you got so many incentives, you should make that factory anywhere else than ,right!! But ,no!! When they say this ,they can get away with it!! But the time will come so they will be asked about this dirty deal. Even the old owner's profit from this deal should be taken into account . No need to mention tsk lost!!

The reason for the cancellation of the factory was stated as follows: "The land is very close to the sea and therefore the excavated foundations are flooded." it said.

Then, naturally, the following question comes to mind: Which staff member made you think of a strategic military facility such as a tank factory, so close to the sea, where the enemy navy can bombard it effortlessly even with navy artillery!?

It's also a disgrace. This project is falling apart piece by piece, in every way!

If it was awful land why did they choose it?

You have land surveyors to see if the soil is fine for building.

This has corruption all over it what a disgrace.

If otokar done the same thing I would also say the same thing here to be honest.

BMC you fcked up hard 🤬

On the contrary the project is getting rid of its weaknesses becoming leaner and meaner.
