Does anyone know the maximum altitude and range values of Akash missiles (the versions that sold to Armenia) ? Could the system's kinetic effectors reach a HALE drone like Akıncı?

I don't know why some people trashing Indian systems but here's the thing,
There is two type of AKASH system.
If it is the old system that Armenia bought then it is not a big deal.
Original AKASH system has a range of 30km+ and altitude of 18km. It uses PESA sensors for surveillance and fire control.

However, if Armenia is the launch customer of AKASH NG (which i suspect, it is) i would take it seriously.
Because AKASH NG is a completely new generation air defence system with new generation interceptor (Jist by looking at two missiles physique you can tell the later is much more superior and agile) fire control system and AESA sensor system.
It has an effective range up to 40-50 miles and can reach 15-18km altitude.

The sensor AKASH NG uses called ARUDHRA

Impressive 300km detection range against targets with 2 m² RCS.

So, in nutshell, its kinetic effectors can reach HALE class areal platforms.

Akash NG is not even in production yet. They bought the available version which is even inferior to their existing air defence systems. As mentoined, poor armenia is being exploited here by india, as nobody (not even russia) is willing to sell them equipment.

Lol if we want to exploit someone we would have exploited some country not in war where the weapons we sold have no threat of being destroyed and in the end humiliating us .Indian government doesn't need to depend on some weapon sales and the Armenian defence deals in particular are with KSSL a private Indian defence company.
Government only gives a nod in these cases

Isn't that a Paramount Mbombe? Figures. Sitution with Indian MIC and its export market is certainly should be a topic of discussion and we can learn a lot, but not the thread for it.

What @Sanchez said, let's keep it on topic. I mean I personally hope for Indian weapons provided to Armenia to suck but that's just patriotic interest not mockery. I wouldn't count on it but it would make fighting a hell of a lot easier. And unfortunately it looks like a fight is imminent.

India got their money either way and they ultimately have no horse in this race.

Armenia bought ATAGS which is not in production for Indian army yet. (They expected to finalized the order soon.)

Similar to ATAGS, AKASH NG is reportedly passed all trials and ready for production.
Thus, it could very well be that Armenia is the launch customer.

Az MoD has reported 3 ceasefire violations this evening. We could be at the beginning of a very serious escalation.

Afif, my brother. There has been many serious escalations since the 2020 war.

also, please go see the date of the first post in this thread and thereafter check the date the 2020 war started. I’ll be waiting here and will be accepting your praise and tribute. ;)

I know, I read those fast first few pages. that time it was real. because there was clear objective for Azerbaijan. Taking back and liberating its own territory.
But now it has been done. Both countries reached international cease fire agreement with Russian peacekeeper being deployed in the region.

There is no motive for Azerbaijan now to go to war with Armenia again. Unless Armenia try to take back Nagarno-Karabakh. (Which they are not trying at the moment) Every border skirmish between hostile nations doesn’t mean there going to be a war.
