A Bell-206L4 helicopter of the Army Aviation Group crash-landed at about 01:05pm in Nawabganj due to a mechanical failure while practicing the Emergency Landing Procedure as part of a regular training flight. Both the pilots were safely evacuated from the helicopter. They are out of danger and have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka Cantonment by air.

A pilot of a training helicopter of the Bangladesh Army, who has been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore after being injured in a helicopter crash on 27 July in Nawabganj upazila of Keraniganj, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Air Wing Director of RAB Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ismail Hossain, 45.

Two pilots were injured as a training helicopter of the Bangladesh Army made crash landing on a waterbody in Nawabganj Upazila of Dhaka district on 27 July.

The pilots – Lt Col Ismail and Major Shams were shifted to Dhaka Combined Military Hospital by a helicopter, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Col Ismail was airlifted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on 5 August as he got severe injury in his backbone.

On 6 August, a successful surgery was conducted at the hospital but his physical condition started to deteriorate.

Later, he breathed his last on Tuesday at the hospital.

Col Ismail is survived by his parents, wife and two sons.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Chief of Army Staff, Senior Secretary of Security Division under Home Ministry, IGP, RAB DG and high officials concerned of RAB and Army expressed deep shock at the demise of Col Ismail and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Interesting find by DTB from recently concluded "Tiger Shark- 39". (Though i did notice but didn't bother to check properly). Commandos were seen using upgraded Type-56 assault rifle. The upgrade includes picatinny rail, collimator sight, foregrip, new buttstock and possibly laser designator. BOF probably carried out these upgrades.

Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka for Switzerland on Tuesday morning on a seven-day official visit.

During the visit, he will visit the weapons-manufacturing factory of the Switzerland Rheinmetall Air Defence Company, said an ISPR press release.

State-of-art Oerlikon Air Defence system made by the company has already been added to the Bangladesh Army and the rest of the Oerlikon gun system, purchased by Bangladesh, are being made at the factory.

During the visit, the army chief will observe the manufacturing process of Oerlikon gun system and its firing to see its effectiveness.

He also paid courtesy calls on high-ups of the Switzerland Armed Forces and Switzerland Army.

During the meetings, General Shafiuddin will discuss bilateral military relations and other mutual cooperation between the two countries.

The army chief is scheduled to return home on 11 October.

or something like 'armor and mechanized infantry company'
( both us army terms )

Meaning, a combination of armors ( tanks ) and mechanized infantry (BTR80 ) in single fighting group.

Do we have anything like that ?

And also I would be glad if you can send me the structural organization of 10th, 11th and 24th divisions like the one you posted above for9th div.

Guess what? 60 sam bty got upgraded as a full regiment. 48 AD will not hold any form of manpads anymore and from now on all manpad regts will now be called SAM Regiments (Currently 1) and other scattered manpads will remain under the SP Coy of other inf Bns.
