Do you know the details about the organisational structures of these units? Are they similar to regular mech battalions?(44 apc in 3 company+2 apc for command as you mentioned earlier)Every Division has its own Div Support Battalion (Inf and has Atgm And RR Pl).
These Bn Are Fully Mechanised with BTR80s
Arent the recoilless rifles been replaced by pf-98?(Inf and has Atgm And RR Pl).
I'm not very sure about that. Because according to GSTP-0038 (2007), All they have is 4MG, 4LMG, 4RR and 3ATGM Pls, Most of which are not compatible with the BTR80. Unless there is a doctrinal change I'm pretty certain the amount of APCs is not 44, or it might be idkDo you know the details about the organisational structures of these units? Are they similar to regular mech battalions?(44 apc in 3 company+2 apc for command as you mentioned earlier)
Pakistan army has similar atgm battalions in divisonal and corps level(LAT & HAT) with the HAT battalions in apc while LAT battalions use smaller 4x4 vehicles mainly land rover defenders.According to online sources these battalions have 18-27 apc each having one atgm launcher in three company excluding command and support. Was wondering if our div support battalions are similar although I guess we dont mount our atgm launchers on apc.
No. not even close Most brigades still have them in their arsenal. Not all units have them in active service but most units have them as reserves.Arent the recoilless rifles been replaced by pf-98?
Thanks for the info.btw do you know how many atgm launchers are in a single atgm platoon? Also any idea about the total number of atgm launchers in the army?I'm not very sure about that. Because according to GSTP-0038 (2007), All they have is 4MG, 4LMG, 4RR and 3ATGM Pls,

Ah yes that's Lt Col Javed, 55LC, CO 4BIR (3rd inf regt of 46 Bde, Dhk)

Battalions also have a support coy!Typical TO&E and man formation in a Inf Bn
According to GSTP-2632 IBIB (The latest TO&E), No Support coy exists in an Inf Bn organically. And every attachments directly under the command of the CO during wartime are Listed as (+1), during wartime many elements from other Units are attached in the Bn (Like and Arty bty), but under no circumstances they come under the direct control of the CO Inf BnBattalions also have a support coy!
From now onwards I will also try to refer the source of information to justify its validity and if you by any chance happen to hold the document you can cross reference it.GSTP-2632 IBIB
Vai an article in the 2016 army official journal mentions that there are 24 ATGW weapons available in a brigade which means at least 8 are available for a battalion.so there should be a support element/compani in the battalion itself.accordingly 8 are attached per brigade as the auther mention.other than open source I don't have access to documents related to our doctorine. So maybe you know better.According to GSTP-2632 IBIB (The latest TO&E), No Support coy exists in an Inf Bn organically.
