Seems like my comments have ruffled some feathers. Let me explain in it in a way which you would understand...

AKP is wildly corrupt and should be punished for their actions.

I want the students to win, simply because AKP is doing something it shouldn't. But If I was the coach and the protesters were my team, I would kick all of those who bring their own ideologies and movements into the mix. Those guys are holding back the team.

Protestors sang pkk songs also attacked cop cars.

Be happy that the police did not respond with bullets because they could have done it long ago.

Mark my words Turkish police and Turkish soldiers dont screw around.

These arrests were are talking about has happened in Boğaziçi University. I watched it live and unfortunately you are lying.

Instead of protesting like a real man, targeting the issue directly, just wave the LGBT flag and bring communism into the mix! That'll fix everything.

I know how fucked up the situation is over there and used to be very vocal about it. Couldn't care less now as everytime a protest starts the protesters shoot themselves in the foot.

What fucking relevance does communism or LGBT have with the government's stupid decision to put in their own rector. The people who do this are either purposefully sabotaging the protest, or brain dead.

One image or video of a flag or poster which doesn't belong there can ruin the public's perception of the protest. Something which many can't get through their thick skulls.

What does “protest like a real man” even mean, dude? It’s a protest against a problem where a certain amount of people take part off the whole thing. In a huge crowd you will always have participants with different views and ideologies because that’s how life is- we don’t live in a black and white world where all people are robots programmed to think in a certain way.

I tell you again, instead of focusing on the big problem you guys prefer to focus on some small and unimportant stuff like who waved a rainbow flag and paint the whole crowd as feminists, faggots and terrorists. Then you and the Government will wonder why Turkey has a brain drain and why most of the youth sees no future in their country.

Erdogan should remember university protests in 90s before stamping these students with "terrorist" tag.
Nothing is different between protests in 90s and protests going on now.

Police ordered civil students not to raise their heads. As if, in 80th ies , soldiers who made coup arrested protestors.

Seems like, they made new laws in 2019. It is wrong IMO.
I am on wave what is webslave is writting, copying west is not the answer, you are in particulary vulnerable position as state that could challenge their interests in lot of areas in near future, so it is necessity to be carefull what is genuine and valuable crticism of statehood with good intentions, regardless all this fuss with this protests. At the end question remains what you want to be west offshot or your own society with your own values and path. I am optimistic that you will follow your own instincts and values as nation.

To provoke conservatives by anarchists or LGBT/ICA+ groups through Islamic values is a postmodern version and 'accelerated-style' re-ignition effort of the Secular-Islamist conflict in the 90s. For many years, the fifth column activities in our country were preparing the backround for this (with the help of the ruling party's idiocies). However, the state is not unprepared this time. Over boğaziçi, they wanted to manipulate ( or poisoning the events over grey colour groups which mostly associated with illegal organizations ) the reasonable democratic demands of university students and open a new fault line in the society in their owners interests.

Also the relationship between some parts of the academic structure of Boğaziçi University and the KCK is quite deep and historical. Some of previous actions by the the organizers of Boğaziçi University events which are still faculty members:

- They published proclamation that 'We will not be a party to this crime ' campaign against PKK's Hendek Operations(2015-2016) They signed a joint declaration that the State is responsible for all deaths. More than 50 academics who signed that declaration are actively involved in these events today.

- Same names that launch the petition campaign against Operation Peace Spring and TSK's cross border operations.(2019)

From KCK Hendek operations to Libya and Karabağ, When Turkey's national security and interests are concerned, these socalled intellectuals always strongly opposed and tried manipulate people... but now we thinking that the same people now defend the interests and values of our country and we think that they protect our children in Boğaziçi University.

*

- Also as trivia, One of the most important names among the organizers of the events, Bogazici University "Social Policy" Graduate Program Lecturer and wife of Osman Kavala, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Buğra. Ayşe Buğra is also the daughter of Tarık Buğra. The inventor of the slogan 'We will not let you be the President' is Ayşe Buğra. This was later transformed into an election slogan by Selahattin Demirtaş's A-team, i mean Qandil.

The small and insignificant stuff can change the outcome more than you think.

Waving LGBT flags at a serious protest in a nation where the majority of people hold traditional values (not to be confused with Islamic values) is a sure fire way to lose a significant amount of support.

Don't tell us to focus on the big problem when we are sick and tired of seeing failed protests again and again. As each protest fails, AKP gains more power.

I said it and I'll say it again. Protest like a man. Protest against injustice.

If you're gonna go to these protests simply to wave your stupid flag or express your anger due to something unrelated then go home. You're doing more harm than good.

They aren't terrorist indeed they are champions of scientific contests.

I was declared a terrorist because I wanted to choose my rector at my university. "

It's not about LGBTQ, it's about ideology. Nothing the left is doing or saying is worth listening. The government needs to make this students obey to the rule of law.

"Şeyma Altundal, one of the students taken into custody, was dragged on the ground while she was being detained, her headscarf was unfastened, she was not allowed to wear the headscarf again ..."

Fighting all kinds of crime, the Turkish Police also fight all kinds of lies
Lies of the Police Officials exposed with more evidence.

This is what happens when you disregard meritocracy and bring stupid people to the power in state institutions.

In the first paragraph of Article 34 of the Constitution, "Everyone has the right to hold meetings and demonstrations without weapons and without aggression without obtaining prior permission." It has been clearly stated that holding meetings and demonstrations cannot be subject to permission.

Then it's comprehensible why Erdoğan wants to change constitution.
