thats a good sauce! I love it too!

by the way the sriracha sauce is it hot for you or is it like a little bit spicy ketchu
For me on regular market and in malls i did not find better one, hot spiced thing is not wide popular thing here, salt and pepper are still king and queen.

Regarding taste, it is moderate hot for me, i usualy put about one coffie spoon in plate and it is enough to take over and make it more flavourable, best thing beside hotness in sriracha is that you can feel garlic in it and some smokey aroma. In overall guy who invented recipe is genious, affordable and universal addition to meals.

I dont know if you have ambitions for planting chilis if sriracha is moderate for you than you can test grow lemon drop, habanero peach wich have some more punch , joes long cayenne is a good breed but it takes long to turn red (at least its worth to wait till they are thick as man fingers) and if you really want a spicy chili with good flavor and with a big heat than try habanro orange just search for semillas and chili than you will find a good shop with international shipping :)

I have some moderate ambition but frenkly i jeopardize my friend goodwill who is fully in it when i wish some stronger chilli, i am more keen to consumer side then producer one :).
Thx for sugestion, i will check it out.
I could have access to fresh chillies you mentioned or similar but still looking for recipe similar to sriracha without waiting one month to be ready and to be stable and consumable for longer period of time.

I dont know drachenfutter but I know a breed that is called dragonbreath and that should be 10 times more hot than my ordinary habanero red with max 200.000 scoville (i think mine are >100.000) vs 2 million :D

the worst I had was the red savina from 350-450k scoville but thats no fun :D
This might have been it, i was the hottest thing i ever had even thought i only tried a small piece.

no I left the mushroom business.. its too difficult or you need is proper sterilizing equipment for much better results.. the best you can do is a temperatured growing room specially in the end

the King Oyster Mushroom was much harder than the ordinary Oyster Mushroom I tried both they said the King oyster is a little bit harder but for me it was very hard because it grows slower and needs time and that gives bacteria and others time to destroy it.. in the end the King Oyster Mushroom was infected by something.. but it was fun and I learned much :) .. the above images are from the ordinary oyster mushroom

if you want to test it than I recommend to begin with small amounts I was a little bit too crazy with that big one.. :D

Last few years, I set up good bed+heater in basement (temp control is easiest there and dont have to worry about light) and grow button mushrooms every winter season for about half the year. Winter is just naturally best season conditions for it in the basement.

It is fairly easy I found, I should remember to take pics this coming winter for this thread.

It is actually fairly low effort.....I use mix of compost and manure...latter I buy from guy I know (he is experienced mushroom guy, I buy spores from him too) and I use my own compost....and then just need some potting soil to cover and help out the early webbing (i forgot what these are called). Just need to spray/mist with water to keep things damp enough.

It gives 3 - 4 harvests in the season....and can also grow some harvests out to more mature portobello.

The used material is great composting material to start when spring arrives. Then I just acquire whatever I need when it comes to late autumn.

I will try some new mushroom species (like your oyster and maybe shitake) later too.

The other thing I have been starting is beekeeping, I havent committed anything to it at my place (I help out neighbour who has been doing it for some years now, in exchange for some honey at end)....but I am gaining confidence now to start my own hive hopefully soon.

as a tip dont use cheap stuff for the oyster mushrooms did not grew on coniferous wood some videos I watched they used this but for me it did not work :) the best was beech or straw pellets (these are getting bigger when you use to water them I had put too much of them to heat up in the end I had to throw one third of it away ..)
