The more China tells the world that Taiwan isn’t a country, the more Beijing’s adversaries are starting to treat it like one.

Ahead of Taiwan’s National Day on Saturday, Beijing’s embassy in New Delhi was reported to have issued a letter telling India’s media not to refer to it as a country or to Tsai Ing-wen as its president. Indians responded by helping the hashtag #TaiwanNationalDay go viral while banners with the Taiwanese flag were hung outside the Chinese embassy.

“Hats off to friends from around the world this year, #India in particular, for celebrating #TaiwanNationalDay,” Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu wrote in a Twitter post on Saturday.

We must give credit on how successful the CCP alienating itself, through their usual bullying, coercion, diplomatic tough talk, decades of appeasement on Chinese interest by the West resulted in this arrogance they're flaunting now. Only this time the West ain't backing down

When the CCP involves in such hostile bullying against a foreign country and its media, one can only imagine the terrorizing experience her citizens go through if one has a complaint against CCP official or an idea/policy differing from CCP thought process.

I'm waiting for the day India allows Taiwan to open an embassy rather than a cultural exchange center. And I hope it happens in this decade 🙂 .
