Kosovo has no money, probably going to be military aid again.
Kosovo Civillians have more money than the Government and they are ready to donate for the military. Unfortunately international law does not allow civilian funds to be used to buy weapons.

If Albanian Mafia would donate 10% of their income, they could purchase 1000 F-22.
About law of civilian donate for military, we prove it wrong (El elle kampanya).

The diaspora in general has crazy money and they do a lot of money laundering through local businesses but if the military fund gets opened it will be much easier for them to do tax evasions and money laundering through it. Btw this happens in every country including USA and Turkiye.

Update on Aselsan's Leopard 2 upgrade for the Chilean Army Per TurDef:

"ASELSAN's modernisation programme is divided into four phases. The first phase, which has been completed, includes the C4ISR system and new radios. The second phase will overhaul the fire control system, add electro-optics, a new IFF system, a 360° surveillance suite, and fire suppression/NBC equipment.
The next two phases are expected to include armour overhauls and an active protection system as the finishing touch to the survivability."

However, "Chilean sources have reported that Germany refused to sell new Leopard 2 MBTs to Chile if a modernisation deal was made with ASELSAN.

In a live stream of Chile-based YouTube channel La Trinchera about ASELSAN's Leopard 2 modernisation programme for Chile, Germany's offer for new Leopard 2 models included the condition of not signing a modernisation deal with ASELSAN."

It's not clear directly if the German firm/Germany is talking about the entirety of the modernization package or its follow ups. We hadn't heard of a deal being signed previously, but per the source, it is signed and radio and C4ISR equipment is already delivered and deployed. All this is a translation of a translation, so some details might be missing/wrong. As far as I can remember, these tanks were modernized with modern radios by an Israeli company when they were first received. So maybe the first phase is not about Aselsan but Chile's own mod program.

Per the same stream, Aselsan is now also offering to upgrade Chile's Leopard 1Vs. "Chile will decide (to start the program or not) after observing the Leopard 2 modernisation process. The package is stated to include a change to a 120 mm smoothbore gun instead of the rifled 105 mm one.

"Pistol recognized as the best in the world": Turkish TTI Combat received the "gun Oscar" award

The Russian military publication Topwar writes about the success of Turkish weapons.

1726386289544.png

The TTI COMBAT pistol from the Turkish company Samsun Yurt Defense (using the CANIK brand), which specializes in the production of small and medium caliber products, was recognized as the best at the ICA exhibition, which is considered to be “weapons "Oscar".
«CANIK stands out with its worldwide success not only as a brand but also as an element representing the strength of Turkey's defense industry in the international arena»,- stated in the company.
Earlier, in 2019, the Turkish manufacturer already received the “Best Weapon of the Year” award for the CANIK TP9 Elite Combat pistol.

The TTI Combat 9mm semi-automatic pistol was first introduced in January of this year. According to the company, it took two years to develop.
The pistol is recognized as the best in the world - says the publication DefenseSanayiST.

It features an 18-round magazine, a patented easy-to-remove compensator, slide serrations that provide a “unique, aggressive grip,” a diamond-cut trigger that breaks at a 90-degree angle, and a fiber optic sight specially developed by HIVIZ.
As the developer explains, the pistol can be equipped with the most exclusive optics available on the market.
The overall length of the TTI Combat is 201 mm, height 150 mm, width 36 mm, barrel length 117 mm, weight 0,85 kg. The original suggested price was $950.»

Strange things happen to Russians. Previously, Russians never praised Turkish weapons at all. They even ignored the generally recognized success of the Bayraktar TB2 on the battlefield.
And suddenly, recently, I read something completely unthinkable in the same publication: “Yes, the Turkish army is really the best army,” the Russians admitted.
The Russians saw in Ukraine their “legendary” and “invincible” Army. And they are very disappointed in her.

But recognition is one thing; talking about this publicly is simply incredible!

You think Argentina has a $1 billion for an LPD(Damen)?
I don't know how difficult the Argentine defense budget is due to the economic situation, but I guess if there is a navy tender, there must be more or less financing efforts. Although the impact of the IMF and other creditors on the overall budget is a separate issue. Also, I haven't followed the current situation of Damen, but they have recently been experiencing significant financial difficulties, maybe - if they are going to be ambitious in this tender - there might be something with the Dutch state in terms of financing, but as I said, these are just my out loud thoughts based on your question.

But this question raised another, more important question in my mind. When it comes to substituting the service or capacity of a Turkish defense company/systems supplier with a western counterpart, I think the fact that the first issue is still the dramatic price difference is one of the issues that we should focus on at some point.

I am not only talking about hull manufacturing, but also design, indeginous classification, equiping and arming, which involves the participation of more than ten defense electronics, hardware and software giants, starting with Havelsan and Aselsan, and a whole technology-intensive system. Here, we need to increase the profitability of our companies by increasing our credit financing capabilities. For example, a joint defense exim bank can be established with the participation of the sovereign wealth funds of a few friendly countries. An investment in this area would strengthen the competitiveness of the Turkish defense industry in exports in a much healthier way than price gouging or concessions that are not granted anywhere else. Because the systems we are talking about are state-of-the-art systems with design, production and testing processes that meet the highest military standards. Under normal circumstances, our recent offers to a number of countries are so comprehensive that they cannot be bought with money.

And not to forget, there is also the issue of the UK trying everything to block such a deal with Argentina(Falklands).
South-Korea could be the better option but i dont know if it can provide all systems domesticly.
Argentina cant buy military equipment from that many countries, see the Argentinian Airforce.
It could however turn to china but not with the current leader.
So,i would say despite everything Türkiye is still an option.

But should we want to be?

I would argue that we shouldn't be anywhere close this tender because UK is (right now and for now) one of the friendlier Western countries, their lobbying might help us get Eurofighters, if we ever face trouble with engines of any kind (whether it is during development or purchasing it from foreign countries), RR is one of the few companies that could bail us out. While they might not be as prolific, they have their own defence industry that could build their own systems and subsystems which could come in handy in a pinch.

And, we export about 10 billions worth of stuff to UK, no need to jeopardise that kind of trade relationship either.

I bet that is exactly why the UK is being friendly with Türkiye. The Good Cop, Bad Cop routine. with the west. Someone needs to exert effort to keep Türkiye in the western influence while every other fukker kicks and treats us as dirt.

I say we should go for it if Argentina picks us. Because we can't live our life at others mercy, or their whims.

ASELSAN has signed export contracts of 44.4 Million USD with its clients in Asia-Pasific region to supply RCWS for land platforms and RCWS, radar, inertial navigation, friend or foe recognition systems and electronic warfare suite for naval platforms.

I wonder if this is a confirmation for previously unannounced deals like Gökdeniz for Philippines or something new and whether it's for multiple countries.

Nurol Makina is setting up a production unit in UK to produce specialised armoured vehicles for UK and export markets.
Production is expected to start before the end of the year.
Two main vehicles to kick start the factory will be Ejder and NMS-L the heli transportable armoured 4x4.
The factory will employ 150 highly skilled people and will be a good injection to local economy.
This is a nice bit of news after Canik‘s purchase of AEI Systems in 2022. It shows the good collaboration between the two countries in matters of defence with respect to cross fertilisation of know how and cheaper production facilities, through track proven and tested equipment.
