MKE Inc. signed important agreements in Jordan

In order to increase Jordan’s defense industry capacity and strengthen the capabilities of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), important strategic agreements were signed between MKE Inc. and the Jordanian Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) and the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF).

Under the first of the agreements, a small arms ammunition production line with an annual capacity of 30 million units will be established. This project covers ammunition in 5.56 mm x 45, 7.62 mm x 39, 7.62 mm x 51 and 9 mm x 19 calibers. The first two phases of the project have been successfully completed and production is planned to begin with the completion of the third phase in October 2024.

Another agreement signed between MKE Inc. and the Jordanian Armed Forces in July 2024 envisages the establishment of filling and assembly lines for 81 mm and 120 mm mortar ammunition, 155 mm M107 artillery ammunition, and MK81, MK82 and MK84 aircraft bombs.

In addition, MKE Inc. has submitted a technical and commercial offer to the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) for the HAR-66 Anti-Tank and Anti-Personnel Rocket with an annual capacity of 30,000. Following the demo firings to be carried out in 2024, cooperation issues regarding the establishment of the assembly line of the HAR-66 rocket and the sale of 2,000 HAR-66 rockets will be discussed.

(I wonder if this also gives us a rough idea about what some of MKE's production capabilities might be, if they can build those lines in a foreign country)

Annual capacity of 30000 RPG sounds good.

Annual capacity of 30 millions small arms ammunitions is not much.

MKE's manufacturering capacity would be an order of magnitude than that.

First of all, this Forum has different Threads for a reason. Use them appropriately.

Turkish-Egyptian deals have favorable terms for Egypt and less favorable terms for Turkey, compared to an alternative scenario where the current government did not treat Egypt as an enemy in the region based on their inner-group Muslim Brotherhood ally ideology.

Please provide a source.

Many of our defence deals with Egypt included tech transfers which Egypt took by leveraging their position in Mid East and East Med against Turkey.

What exactly did we give to Egypt? And does Egypt have the capability to receive what we gave to them? We talked about ToT in the past. It is not magic. Let's assume an alien civilization visited Earth and decided to transfer the technology of UFOs to us. Do you think we can successfully produce one ourselves?

The Nigerian Air Force has taken delivery of the second batch of 2x TAI T129 attack helicopters from Türkiye.

After two years of negotiations, the Nigerian defense authorities and Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI) signed an agreement in July 2022 for the supply of a total of six T129 Atak helicopters.

The estimated cost of each helicopter is approximately 45 million dollars. The NAF received the first two T129 Atak helicopters on November 1, 2023. With the delivery of the second batch, the last two helicopters under the agreement are expected to be delivered soon.

Kosovo has no money, probably going to be military aid again.
Kosovo Civillians have more money than the Government and they are ready to donate for the military. Unfortunately international law does not allow civilian funds to be used to buy weapons.

If Albanian Mafia would donate 10% of their income, they could purchase 1000 F-22.
About law of civilian donate for military, we prove it wrong (El elle kampanya).

The diaspora in general has crazy money and they do a lot of money laundering through local businesses but if the military fund gets opened it will be much easier for them to do tax evasions and money laundering through it. Btw this happens in every country including USA and Turkiye.

Update on Aselsan's Leopard 2 upgrade for the Chilean Army Per TurDef:

"ASELSAN's modernisation programme is divided into four phases. The first phase, which has been completed, includes the C4ISR system and new radios. The second phase will overhaul the fire control system, add electro-optics, a new IFF system, a 360° surveillance suite, and fire suppression/NBC equipment.
The next two phases are expected to include armour overhauls and an active protection system as the finishing touch to the survivability."

However, "Chilean sources have reported that Germany refused to sell new Leopard 2 MBTs to Chile if a modernisation deal was made with ASELSAN.

In a live stream of Chile-based YouTube channel La Trinchera about ASELSAN's Leopard 2 modernisation programme for Chile, Germany's offer for new Leopard 2 models included the condition of not signing a modernisation deal with ASELSAN."

It's not clear directly if the German firm/Germany is talking about the entirety of the modernization package or its follow ups. We hadn't heard of a deal being signed previously, but per the source, it is signed and radio and C4ISR equipment is already delivered and deployed. All this is a translation of a translation, so some details might be missing/wrong. As far as I can remember, these tanks were modernized with modern radios by an Israeli company when they were first received. So maybe the first phase is not about Aselsan but Chile's own mod program.

Per the same stream, Aselsan is now also offering to upgrade Chile's Leopard 1Vs. "Chile will decide (to start the program or not) after observing the Leopard 2 modernisation process. The package is stated to include a change to a 120 mm smoothbore gun instead of the rifled 105 mm one.
