“Türkiye is not included in the EU's $162 billion fund

— EU will not include US, UK and Turkish companies in its $162 billion defense fund.

— These countries will remain outside the fund unless they sign defense and security agreements with Brussels.”

If im to sign the mentioned agreements which eventually will put me and those countries as the military force(s) to protect them as they have stronger and ready militaries, why don’t I get a lump sump cash transfer directly from that fund beforehand?
Really Europe? Still giving me the stick and carrot to protect your geriatric welfare states?

I really like to see how long it will take them to produce weapon systems that have been lagging behind program for decades, or in some cases even does not exist.

Na-ah
Leonardo and Baykar showed what needs to be done. Move around the fence.

Ther was a tweet about France drone program, i am going to search it. If they begin today it will ready in 2027. And it will be real and real expensive.

Aircraft carrier is one other possibility and there are no claims for it exists but mine, but, they have been talking about a sibling to Juan Carlos I for more than a decade now. They were unable to fund it due to budgetary reasons in the past. A joint development would lower the cost of the program for us immensely.
"The Armada would have 2 new aircraft carriers, similar to the Juan Carlos I, but larger, between the next 5 and 10 years. General Staff Requirements at the end of the year."
Remains to be seen if they would go with their own design and F-35s or something joint with Turkey.

I would guess that they are deploying atak. Selling would be to expensive compared to just buying AKINCI and for donation it’s to important only a lease would make sense.

Both Kaplan MT with the Cockerill 3105 and the Tulpar with the Hitfact 120 are in Brazil for LAAD defense fair. Both are chasing a contract with Brazil. Between the two, Otokar is probably a bit ahead with its Hitfact turret, which the Brazilians have already incurred into service with their new Centauros last year. Which makes me think, did Otokar's cooperation with Leonardo for Tulpar started from this possible Brazilian interest.

Maybe the "European customer" we read about a month or two ago wasn't Romania.
Or maybe it was. Claim of Romania buying a single Hisar Class ship, maybe one of the already built ones.

"The strange case of a single corvette: The mysterious corvette that Romania is buying is from Turkey and it knows the class and specifications. Political and defense industry sources have confirmed to DefenseRomania on various channels that Romania will acquire a light corvette from Turkey. A decision that is raising many eyebrows.

"In this security context, the members of the Council analyzed and approved, in today's meeting, the provision of the Romanian Naval Forces with a new light corvette-type ship, capable of executing, in the shortest possible time, a multitude of missions, in order to initiate the necessary steps by the Ministry of National Defense to carry out the acquisition.

Our sources later confirmed that the purchase of a "single light corvette" will be made from Turkey. However, we do not know what offset component there will be - if any - and how the Romanian defense industry will be involved. Our sources also told us that it is a Hisar-class corvette."

This could be a good exercise to sell one of the newly built Hisar ships to them and rearm it to a combatant corvette level to see how quickly we can add necessary equipment where the original ship is in FFBNW state. This would show us how quickly in an emergency we can refit the weapons the ship that it is lacking in OPV form.

Indeed. It would still probably take at least a year with the backlog we have now for all the orders including exports.

Much bigger news is that Desan is bidding on the Mangalia Damen shipyard in Romania to rent its production capability. Looks like government is trying to prop up Desan with the latest orders for Hisar, Malaysia's coast guard ship and now this. Seems @Anmdt was right.

120mm smoothbore cannon like AK-47, doesn't require too much cleaning.
Moreover frontengine gives more security and comfort for crew.
Kinda mini Merkava!

Damn we also want!!!

I am also wondering if it is possible to produce short shell 120mm ammunition which would have less recoil.

"ADVENT Combat Management System, the deterrent force of the Turkish Navy, has now been exported to Chile, bringing the total number of countries using ADVENT worldwide to nine. "

They will probably use it for the modernization of their two Adelaide Class frigates based on OHP.
