What can Turkey do without hurting its own economy?

Refugee deal comes to mind but the borders are closed and locked. Frontex is helping on the sea and the land border is pretty walled off by now too.
It could make shit hits the fan in syria? some harder military posture in mediteranian waters?
maybe do bussiness with europe via ukraina?

1. Against who in Syria? will only escalate things.
2. will only escalate things and make it worse
3. that will make Turkish good expensive and I dont think the Ukraine has the same customs union we do with the EU, meaning transport + custom fees will make Turkish goods unattractive.

We dont know what kind of sanctions will come, so all of that is speculation of course.

What Greece wants is an export ban for defence goods. Not economic sanctions, because that would hurt the major EU countries too.

what would be Turkey counter measure both in political and economy means if EU impose sanctions?
make blood in every place. from Africa to Afghanistan, to Iraq, UAE, red sea passing ships and so on,,, also an opperation to Greek islands... the only reason its not done yet.. it will not happen for this reason... they just use the word itself to make Turkish money loose its value without really doing anything...

We could always use the strait of istanbul if they make sanctions on us.

US could be deemed national security threat and the strait would be closed off to US vessels.

If EU sees this move they'll either go on with the sanctions or realize that they're at a breakingpoint and do nothing. Because losing Turkey as an ally is not even an option. As I recall Greek vessels sail through the straith a lot.

Also the EU countries in EU who need to use the strait would block any attempt on sanctions.y

Hungary and Poland is already causing issues with regard to the budget for EU, and I can only hope they'll think of the consequences of EU more than western EU countries do.

In the meantime we need to find a way to help refugees get into EU, which must be done by sinking pushback vessels.

So with this the banks will be able to make proper judgement before lending to people and businesses as I understand. Which means more solid foundation for lending.

Turkish grocer to sell 35% stake in Moroccan affiliate

The sale, according to the filing, aims to maintain and develop BİM Stores SARLAU's current growth trend in Morocco, and achieve localization in the region with specialized investors to create further value.

Think twice please the next time anyone talks about brotherhood or softpower in majority Arab countries.

I think it must be an attempt to bring UK partnership onboard to curb the protectionism shown by Morocco.

China needs food, fresh produce, fruits and stuff and construction materials like marble of the top of my head. When transportation is more efficient many more products can be added.
This goods has no added value. No finished products.

Cannabis also can be used to make bags and its cloth like functions are great. With the rising trend on Turkey as high technological and more green oriented country I think such organic bags can slowly take the important place of plastic shopping bags etc. The effect on environment would be very positive and also it is possible to take even more countries on that "electric train"
Cannabis has miracle values. CBD oil for example . $100 billion we can earn by exporting Cannabis goods.

AKP crippled Mining industry in Turkey back in 2010, and likely didn't listen to reasons,

Yani Hükümetimiz geçmişte, torba kanunlar ile 3213 sayılı esas Kanunda yaptıkları değişikliklerin Madenciliğimizi felç ettiğinin farkına maalesef yeni varmıştır.

It seems they've realized their incompetence and are now rectifying the crippled mining industry. But more needs to be done if we are to salvage the industry.

China exports goods worth of $20 billion to Turkey and just imports $2 billion from us. I cant celebrate here.
it is up to turkey companies to change that fact, clear logistical advantages are there.

Invest in a country, make business, earn cash, send cash back to your country. Also avoid paying tax by abusing a hole in the tax system.

So what now. They're just looking at what Turkey is doing ignoring Greece's actions and saying it's Turkey's fault.

Giving EU time to come up with heavy sanctions is stupid, if we don't have countermoves then it's game over for Turkey because they'll keep tightening the noose.

I think it's about time to go to UN with the treaties and declaring Greece's claim on the islands nullified. Take down the refugee camps at the same time, and drive refugees back to Syria, or let them go to EU.

Let the refugees go to Tolerant Europe.

The longer they stay in Turkey, the less they want to go away. That is a lesson European countries has learned since 90's

So for EU it was important to keep refugees in Turkey.

Incompetent politicians who has never experienced refugee problems won't know about the issues that follow.

Well they signed a deal to get that sweet eu money.

Eu played Turkey. Diplomacy failed here.
