This is simply not true. There are many factors about Turkey's economic downfall(yes downfall which is inevitable, they only postpone it!)
The first factor is Turkey is no longer producing anything, from agriculture to weath from consumer products to toys etc. just consuming and living with credits.
because they lost to american and controlled by them.just like Ottoman without Ataturk. Before that japan was a crazy countryAnd yet they run the country better than our political system, kinda reminds me on Belgium that had no government for years yet still didnt have anarchy on the streets.
Despite their own problems all these countries offer a better life for their citizen compared to Turkey, thats the difference bewteen countries with checks and balances between institutions and those without.
Which is not a hard challenge. This is simply not true.
Turkey produces a lot. More than any other country around us.
His criticism is unfounded and obviously politically motivated. This is simply not true.

Somehow this "we don't produce" thing became a baseless slogan in everyone's mouth who wants criticize current economical problems. His criticism is unfounded and obviously politically motivated.
He picked out the one good thing about our economy and that is our diversified industrial production capacity. Even our worst critics agree that Turkey is in fact a producing nation. No doubt, we have major issues and shortcomings that need to be addressed immediately but this statement of his is false.
All we need areSomehow this "we don't produce" thing became a baseless slogan in everyone's mouth who wants criticize current economical problems.
As you said Turkey is a producing, hardworking and energetic nation. For instance, you can build a skyscraper from scratch and totally equip with everything needed from pipes to furniture, from cables to elevator, just by using Turkish made products. This is something very few countries have.
Not even just materials and goods but also things like music, movies, series etc. I have been living in Italy for some time (which is a developed industrial country) and I can easily say today's Turkey produces more and better than Italians in these fields.
People who never been abroad can't compare it I guess.
No, Turkey is not a big producer nation and this is being proven by the data about the exports of every country. You can't say that you are a big producer when you export way less than a poor country like Vietnam or Poland (with 38mln population), Malaysia (with 34mln people) and even less than Czechia (with 10mln people). Look how close to Turkey Austria, the UAE, Ireland and even Hungary are- all of them countries with way less population.
Even Bulgaria that has a population of 6,5 million has an export of 42 billion USD last year compared to Turkey's 225 billion USD and a population of 85 million people. A rough calculation shows that Bulgaria exports around 5 times less than Turkey in absolute numbers while having a 13 times smaller population. That means that the average export per person of Bulgaria is 2,5 times bigger than that of the average Turk. And Bulgaria is the shittiest country in the EU, I won't lie to you.

Türkiye has a diversified economy not relying on a few industries alone. Turkiye is also poised to make a jump towards high value production which will include some stuff which we have been inporting so far including display panels and microchips. There are many areas that local production is to be started in the coming years mostly in higher rech field. These initiatives will boost exports of Turkiye above $500bn.No, Turkey is not a big producer nation and this is being proven by the data about the exports of every country. Good for you and businessmen, it doesn't mean shit when people are hungry.
You should stop watching Ahaber, go out on the street
The labor force in Turkey is working like slaves hence you get the kind of industry thats heavy with minimal margin that can not settle in higher developed countries where the labor rights are better protected. What the country needs is technocrats, science based decision-making. We have a solid industry base but most of them are low level/margin exports.

The high skiller labor force in Turkey doesnt want to stay in the countrys due to low payment, bad political climate and far better opportunities abroad which prevents high tech industries from settling en masse.
Its not enough to say we will do this or we will do that, its time to act and offer people a better life style so that the high skilled people dont leave the country, you first need the basis for these industries to settle in the first place. Imagine intel opened a factory in Turkey, they would struggle to find thousands of high skilled technicians.
Why are you cherry picking whatever suits you? These companies saw a boom during corona years and now gradually return the pre covid times. But on the other hand there is Intel building a massive new factory in USA and so is TSMC.Tech companies abroad are laying off their employees en masse. 10.000 from Amazon, 10.000 from Meta and from every tech company in preparation of an impending collapse. Yet our people are keeping their jobs and growing in numbers. So lucky for us.
