Foreign policy in KKTC is a disaster. Literally pushing the Turks of the Island into the EUs laps. KKTC has long been a bastion of Turkish nationalism. But there is a rising amount of liberals because AKP is filling it with refugees and building mosques. No one wants either.Instead of building mosques in other countries which we will be empty anyway.
Akp could actually spend money on restoring old ones and bring them back to their old self.
But nah they prefer building new ones at high costs.
What you get is some crappy copy of a Ottoman mosque.
So much shit to write. Scathing criticism really. Cant even preserve anything while wasting our money on building new ones
Bursa used to be all green now I see is a bunch high rise shitty apartments that are akin to depressing soviet times.
As much as im critical of modern architectiture.
How does Ankara of the 1940s with its modernist look of the 1930s and 1940s look better than the shit that we call modern 21st?

Because AKP.Why are refugees being settled in kktc?
I dont think opening it as a Orthodox church meant shit.
Orthodox Christians destroyed a lot of our history in the Balkans and Central Asia.
During thr Bosnian war the Serbs and Croats destroyed any kind of kind of Ottoman history that they can get their hands on.
While the Greeks turned a Ottoman mosque into a porno theater.
Respect my ass
You are wrong my friendFor someone who lives in England that was a dumb move. You basically made it easy for greeks and armenians as well as kurds to demonise Turks further to the English.
The best thing to have done was reopen it as a orthodox church. Positive press, increased tourism revenues, while Muslims are seen as less fanatical and intolerant.
Changing it to mosque benefited erdogans domestic image, but little else.
I'm not arguing with you people about how these nations behave, they behave as hostile enemies, but we cannot keep falling into their traps, we have to be smarter, wiser then them.
As for the west losing its dominance, yes the world is opening up but as it stands and it will stand for at least another hundred years the west will be the side that matters. The Russians fooled themselves into thinking the west was weak and backward, as a result they ended with the Ukrainian disaster and they are not even fighting a NATO nation.
Fqing West again I swear
@Cow's Milk has a point. Besides, pay attention to who opposes Sweden and Finland‘s Nato membership in the tweet, that is Erdogan, not Turkey, nor Turkey’s institutions, just Erdogan. Target singled out, as in pretty much one of the oldest tactics in politics, to overcome opposition. Almost all expect hard bargain on Turkey’s behalf, I say I would not be as surprised if this turns out be yet another failure in the international arena!Fqing West again I swear
Its like, we will support the PKK and yet still join NATO whether Turkey likes it or not; Erdogan really needs to reject their participation bids into NATO; maybe then they will realise that they dont have iron ladies but some filthy pkk-supporters. Even better, in case of a Russian invasion, they should ask their pkk allies for help, loool
Dont worry we have plenty of courage. We ruled the iberian peninsula for 800 years, and until this day they still fear us even though we weak economically, and Millitary equipment. To the Arabs who critised this move.
Lets see if you guys have the balls to take back Cordoba Mosque.
Erdogan’s wilcard, and his opposition to Nato membership of the two Scandinavian countries (harboring terror groups) are already top news on international media!@Cow's Milk has a point. we have to get ALL the concessions. nothing less could do.TBH this looks like a bargaining tactic. Erdogan is famous for his backsteps. He will get something in return probably the F-16 deal and some concessions in Syria.
