If anyone is going to have respect for Ataturk, its the soldier.

NATO is discussing a future without the US.

Politicians in Germany, due to the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the presidency of the United States, began an informal discussion of the prospects for NATO without the United States, writes The New York Times.

And the very next day...

EU wants 'close relationship' with Turkey

The day before, the foreign ministers of the European Union countries gathered in the capital of Belgium, Brussels... One of the issues on the agenda was relations with Turkey.
According to Anadolu, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said: “We need to interact with Turkey taking into account the Cyprus issue in order to avoid conflicts and expand cooperation. We need to engage more with Turkey, work in areas where our interests coincide, and avoid issues that alienate us."

What suddenly happened?
What!? Oh yes, you are afraid without the USA... What about “Erdogan’s authoritarianism”? Or have you already forgotten everything?
Well, okay, okay, since you're so scared, then hide behind the mighty Sultan...
Türkiye will not leave you orphans in trouble :ROFLMAO:

if they want to improve relationship with turkey they better start with

1) sell Eurofighter
2) recognize Blue homeland
3) recognize Turkish Cyprus as independent country and accept her into EU along with turkey
4) sell air defense system

even doing one of these above is good start to warm the relationship with turkey

What your seeing is the strategy they always use, sticks and carrots. Threaten us, harm us, then just as its reaching boiling point and your ready to do something, or even to just walk away, the kind words come back rinse and repeat. All that happens is we stagnant or regress and our enemies are given years to further their agenda.

Had they just constantly been nasty to us, we would end up walking away from their "alliance/friendship" then they got big problems to deal with, big problems. You would force Turkey onto the side of Iran, Russia and China and considering our geography much of Europe suffer dearly for this.

don't sell us planes, well we got no choice but to buy russian and chinese. OK, your building up greece against us with all sorts of bases, you will be forced to invite russian and chinese bases, maybe even iranian bases into the region. Then their trying to cut you off in the east med, maybe its time to close the boshperous down to europe etc etc.

Its not good for us and this is where they have leverage, but losing Turkey to the east is a great disaster for the Europeans. The problem with Turkish leadership is that they don't really know how to play the game.

DUBAI, February 5. /TASS/. Iran, China and Russia will hold joint naval exercises by the end of March. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani.

“We also invite other countries to take part in the naval exercises of Iran, China and Russia, which will take place before the end of March,” he was quoted as saying by the Tasnim agency.
Where will it be? Pacific Ocean? Atlantic or already close to Miami? they haven't decided yet.
On land, a testing ground has long been chosen - Ukraine.
Poor country :(

The visit of Putin to Turkey was postponed again. The second time since September 2023.
Hakan Fidan had told in an interview that Syria would be the main topic of the negotiations, there was a visit of a russian state plane to Ankara yesterday, my guess is that it were russian diplomats who tried to find an agreement before the meeting of Putin and Erdogan.
Seems like talks have failed.
Our forces in Syria should be extra careful in the next days, we know how treacherous the russians can be.

Greece and Turkey have been warming up before Swedens NATO entry, even before the Earthquake diplomacy.
EU has been talking about a positive agenda before.

And Turkey continues to not follow the international law as well as its own laws on actual political asylum seekers to be nice to Iran. Wonder how many Iranian political refugees we've sent to their deaths over the years.

Not long ago Iran was just taking these kind of people like they are taking their children from the kindergarten and smuggling them into Iran from Van. Looks like the system changed. We will be giving them with our own hands to them and they can continue bombing Turkish bases in Syria and Iraq with the "small bombs". If we misbehave they may bomb us with the big ones.

Ey, Iran! Senin fuzelerin varsa, bizim de imanimiz var! Huloggg!

(Hey, Iran! You got missiles, we got faith! Holoogg (?) ! 😬

Not to mention PKK bases in Iran, the whole gold smuggling scandal, IRGC on our borders in Syria etc

It's either fear or stupidity
