Yes and no!
We should carry a policy of duality. Just like we have been doing with Russia and Ukraine.
Stay independent. But at the same time give them limited hope that we are supportive of their cause. Use them without committing too deeply to rock the boat, as in Ukraine situation. Ukraine knows we are on their side. We support their unitary pre 2014 borders. Yet we have good relations with Russia.
You know they want us to be in charge of the ''peaceforce'' right?
And why would they want us to lead, you think?

Neither Ukraine nor Russia will trust any other country. Turkey is the only country that has good relations with both at such a high level.
But, unless a very solid truce and peace is in place, to be part of any peace mission in Ukraine is a non starter.
At the same time if we have the power and clout to stop the killing by getting involved in a peace keeping mission, it is our moral duty to both sides.

Another European country has turned to Turkey because of Russian threats, having lost hope in America.
They come one after another. It is Poland's turn. Prime Minister Tusk is going to Turkey with a request. The German President has already arrived. The Dutch, Lithuanians, Romanians and all sorts of Swedes will follow :)
Who will protect these poor orphans from the angry Russians? France? Does France have an army other than a legion of 70,000 foreigners? Germany? Germany is in a worse position than France. England, which proudly calls itself Great Britain, does not have enough soldiers to protect even its own islands.
Now they have turned to Turkey.
Until recently, they were the ones who shamelessly shouted at every meeting: "Erdogan is a dictator!" "Erdogan is an Islamist!" And now their press publishes articles every day praising Turkish weapons and the wise Erdogan. Where has their old pride gone?... Apparently, European leaders, like 500 years ago, will soon gather in Istanbul and beg: "Sultan, save us! Allah Akbar!"🤣

Are they really in such a dire situation? Are you exaggerating?

It is not convincing to me that Europe is so desperate.
