Greek F-16s locked on Turkish F-16s while they are conducting an important NATO mission in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish defense ministry sources speaking to Anadolu. Later, Turkish aircrafts responded the Greek AF and expelled from airspace.

Turkey summoned the Greek military attaché, and complained to NATO

Turkish NATO mission was to escort US B52 bombers

This time, Greeks are busted! The tactics of provoking and then playing the victim in other's parliaments every time will backfire this time. Turkish aircrafts were performing NATO missions and US personnel witnessed the situation. Now neither the congressmen they fund, nor the perception games they have built on lies can save them.

What I don't get is once a our fighters are locked on by Grik fighters don't we have a right to shoot the rats from the sky?

They can actually fight back.

If we don't succeed with our national AESA radar, we won't have much chance to lock on them. And if, God Forbid, they acquire F35s before we have operational KIZILELMAs or TFXs then our air force will be completely at the mercy of Greek pilots. The airworthiness of our F16 fleet in Aegean would be in question.

probably the turkish jet was in greek airspace
Greek side already saying "they were not informed". The problem is Turkish f16s planes were performing Nato mission to escort US b52 bomber that took off from Greek airbase. They are surely informed if it is not controversial airspace.

All these developments, these threats are good for us in the long term. The strength comes from within. We design, build and perfect our own products. Our own software runs on them. We make billions on them. We can shape our domestic and foreign policy to our like. However, you have to admit we're standing on shaky grounds in the short term. If we can put KIZILELMA in service in a few years, we'll have some breathing room before TFX is ready.
