Azerbaijan will receive Hurjet in 3 years and Hurkush by the end of next year. Also, Azerbaijan will order ambulance version of Gokbey
Gokbey Ambulance with TS1400 should be no problem.
For ambulance, the LHTech-800 engine may be allowed to be exported by US. But TS1400 should be the better and safer bet, albeit it may take some time for the civilian accreditation of the Turkish engine.

Hurkus has a Canadian PT6 engine. I can’t see Canada allowing it to be sold to Azerbaijan unless Canadian stance against us and Azerbaijan has changed drastically. (Canadians were pissed off last time, because we never asked them if we could use their cameras in a third party war)

As far as armed Hurjet goes;
We don’t even know if we as Türkiye are going to get F404 engines for Hürjet’s serial production. For Azerbaijan it is a far fetched idea. Unless they can send their own engine (KlimovRD93) to be integrated in to Hurjet, and cover the cost of integration.

As far as Hurjet trainer goes;
Why should Azerbaijan have a western trainer jet when it has all Russian planes and now Chinese designed JF17s are to join their fleet?

Can we have a solid and respectable source for this news please?

Can you really see any KAAN with US engines being sold to Azerbaijan?

Yes they are party to the development. But until our TF35000 is flying these birds, we can not sell KAAN to anybody without US permission. Even then, UK can stop the sale due to ejection seat. (Remember KAI-FA50 sale to Argentina). That is why we are also developing a domestic ejection seat.

Hurjet is a worse scenario! We don’t even have an indigenous engine development that should fit in to Hürjet’s fuselage.

That is one thing I really don't understand about the fervour to turn Hürjet into a light attack fighter or naval fighter. We don't even have an engine planned, let alone being actively work on like TF35K, for it, how on earth are we going to even use it ourselves, let alone exporting it?

I'll die on the hill that we would be better off leaving Hürjet as it is, a trainer, and designing a single TF35K Kaan that we can export and use on our carrier when it actually materializes in 2040s. We have more than enough time for it, instead of trying to force Hürjet through.

This might be a completely idiotic question but I have to wonder; Can Hürkuş fulfill the role of a command plane? Directing a networked team of KE and Anka-III seems like a good use for it. I'm certainly not an expert on how that would happen, or would it even worth it. But I wonder.

IMHO once Türkiye starts serial production of TF6K/TF10K/TF35K/TS1400, the embargoes will be lifted magically. This happened with other products in the past.

may be I am a dreamer but after TF 6000 - 10000 a turbofan powerful enough for HÜRJET variants should be not far if there is a need and will.... I am expecting a nice suprise from TEI.... even may be sooner than we expected.... just a pure speculation dictated by logic

Depends on how it commands them though. It wouldn't have to be anywhere within hundreds of kms of the drones even with LOS communication as it would be in the air as well. But I still don't think it would be a good use for it.

Using it as close air support for Jandarma forces with munitions like Tolun and MK dumb bombs with guidance kits from a 100 km away would be a much better use for them, for example.

So many likes for a random post like that..... Until I read Yasars post I was wondering if I should ask what you guys were smoking because I'd definitely want that too :)

And all those embargoes disappearing magically can happen, but we need to get there first, and I wouldn't want the embargoes to disappear, I'd prefer we continued supporting our own industry.

I really hope the helicopter will be solved and delivered with domestic stuff, because until now I remember we weren't able to give a single helicopter to help Azerbaycan during the 1st karabagh war.

What are the changes that Temel Kotil's timetables weren't realistic in the first place? I feel like this is now a change back to more realistic targets rather than a delay.

We are waiting for TF-6000 and TF-10000 engines.
