The Naval version addition is reported on some news as words of TUSAŞ CEO, not my speculation. Other possibilities are mentioned as probable and possible based on what other countries have done in the past like showing interest towards the Korean LCA plane which shows that they wanted to have such a plane at some point in time. Isn't it better than just reporting what has already happened, painting the whole picture rather than showing parts of it.just my 2cents: by adding pure speculation you're harming your otherwise nice infographics and maps
TAI is gaining a partner nation and an industry giant to further develop the platform. If Spain puts the 25 aircraft order that's mentioned, we should remember that Spain will have the largest Hürjet order on the books, not TurAF and that makes sure whatever TurAF ends up doing, Hürjet remains a viable project financially. TAI doesn't have the experience Airbus or Leonardo have in creating, maintaining and operating the training system that is needed for these aircraft by itself. Spain wants industry participation as it needs its own companies to make money and thrive.
Production model is not yet made public. I've seen reported that at least some of the Spanish Hürjets would still be built by TAI to Spanish specifications. We don't know if this is a Spain specific model with Spanish subsystems or a larger redesign that will be different than Hürjet to warrant a new classification.
The Ministry of Defense will invest 1.375 billion euros in the Air Force's new advanced trainer and expects the first aircraft in 2028.
Robles has insisted on the "Spanishness" of the aircraft, which is the result of a co-development with the Turkish company TAI based on the Hürjet but with national design authority.
The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles , reported this Friday, before the Senate Defense Committee, on the new program for the advanced trainer aircraft of the Air and Space Force, which seeks to replace the F-5M , based on the Hürjet aircraft of the Turkish company TAI , but which will be a co-development between the Spanish and Turkish industries thanks to a bilateral program.
According to the minister, the entire program will have an investment of €1.375 billion, which will allow for "the development and acquisition of training capabilities for our pilots, with an air segment of between 28 and 30 aircraft for the training and flight mission."
Robles reported that the first six aircraft will be received in 2028 and the remaining ones in 2029, reaching a total of 18. The national GBTS will then be implemented so that the first versions of the aircraft will begin to arrive, "already Spanish-ized with the modifications that are agreed upon and which will include flight envelopes compatible with the fighters that will fly later, or the latest-generation avionics and information presentation systems configurable via software, allowing the transition to fifth and sixth generation fighters in the future."
The minister emphasized the significant impact the program will have on consolidating the defense technological and industrial base and the benefits it will generate here in Spain. In fact, she emphasized that "although the basis is the Turkish aircraft, the agreement aims to co-develop an advanced Spanish trainer aircraft with national design authority." She also highlighted the importance of developing the national GBTS ."

So pretty much Hürjet with Spanish pieces and bits. Love the language used by the Minister of Defense though to convince the committee. Maybe this will help us sell Hürjet to other European countries, hopefully. The Ministry of Defense will invest 1.375 billion euros in the Air Force's new advanced trainer and expects the first aircraft in 2028.
