Pilots of a 5th-6th gen naval carrier based fighter would go from land based Hürjet straight to the naval one, which would include training on some specific naval weapons and systems.

Personally I'm not a big fan of using Hürjet in combat, but an armed, naval Hürjet for advanced training is necessary.
Good idea. As a trainer definitely. But as a combat fighter it is quite a bit suspect. This plane is not going to hold its own against even a 4th generation plane. Never mind a 5th generation one.

In what scenario would we be using them against 4th gen fighter jets?
All our enemies are nearby.
I think a squadron could be valuable when ''touring'' Africa(Sudan,Somalia),they would be standby in case of rapid response..

Greece, Israel, Egypt, UAE all have top end 4th and 4.5th generation planes. France carries naval Rafale on their carrier.
Eastern med, Aegean, Libya and in Red Sea horn you would have to contend with the above mentioned countries’ airforces. Never forget, today’s friends can easily turn out to be tomorrow’s enemies. And of course vice versa.

You can team Hürjet with Kızılelma or Anka3, this 6th gen feature can make Hürjet a fearsome encounter for any opponent.

Both prototypes were in Erzurum for cold weather tests. Per AA, 3 aircraft per month is expected instead of the original 2.

Simple detail, both prototypes were in air. Wonder what's the latest sortie number for the program is. They were on flight 300 back on October 10.
There are now at "about 400" sorties. Flight tests are going spectacularly so far.

It definitely won't kinematically, but Hurjet will still have a very potent AESA radar and will be teamed up with KE, as well as AWACS drones from the carrier group. I think it makes sense in our usecase; at worst it will be used to command the drones. I think the first iteration we will see regardless be a land based fixed wing jet for the navy, to get them up to speed on high speed fixed wing aircraft. If F-35B comes in a decade or somehow Kaan finds its way to the navy, we will have the knowhow, the training regimens in place.

Hürjet LCA can be a good asset for nations who need it, Malaysia could use it.
I wonder what Malaysians are thinking about it nowadays.

Always hilarious to me whenever I see mainly americans call this bird weird looking. Probably the best looking trainer/lca in the world right now.

Can't wait for it to reach its full potential in a couple years. I think Hürjet will sell like hot chocolate on a very cold winters day :)

More F/A-50s apparently.
I bet they would wait a few years longer if they knew it would be favoured over others going forward. While also Malaysians are allegedly not really getting any offsets in their deal. Therefore it makes a difference when you have something to show for what you are building ASAP, which applies for Kaan too and it worked there.

It is beautiful, but I think they may be referring to its top view.
The rear pert of the fuselage looks very straight. Maybe that's it.

Personally, as I may have stated before, I'm in love with it.

The Hürjet D is coming but if its not steathy than better to drop the project together with AC .
Kaan is too big for AC so we need smaller ones . TAİ said they are working on 6gen but better to start working on steath AC fighter since we are building AC which will cost billions .
With todays Tech and A.İ why is hard to develop a steath jet based on hürjet ! Just add 1 engine and increase its body size max 5 year work ... Supercomputers are ready , Design programs aslo

Hurjet with IWB would be a complete redesign and would require a twin engine configuration so thats already far fetched. It would be a different plane

I'm getting tired of seeing people talking shi.t because they don't have anything better to do.
