Indonesia signed an order on Thursday for 42 latest-generation Rafale fighter jets from Dassault Aviation, for 8 billion dollars, announced the group and the Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly.
"It's official: Indonesia orders 42 Rafale", announced Florence Parly on Twitter, specifying that Indonesia, where she is completing a two-day trip this Thursday, had also initiated cooperation with France in the field submarines.
"Turnkey"
The agreement signed Thursday in Jakarta by the CEO of Dassault Aviation Eric Trappier with the Indonesian armed forces in the presence of Florence Parly provides for "a complete 'turnkey' solution" also including logistical support and a training center composed of two mission simulators, is specified in the group's press release.
The contract is for a total amount of 8.1 billion dollars, announces the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. The Thales and Safran groups will also be involved in the contract signed with Indonesia on the second day of a visit by the Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly, the same source specifies.
