I believe KAI and Sokor have their certain roadmap for their new baby. In addition their KT-1 Wong Bee and TA-50 - FA50 are quite a player, used by many AF and a serious contender as well on various procurements. IMHO, their RD, manufacturing and sales marketing effort are well managed. Hopefully we can 'learn' a lot from this KFX/IFX.

Since we also have some agreements with Kongsberg for its NSM, I guess it's not too far off that the top brass at Kemhan and TNI decide to switch to them for our shore defense AShM. Now about the A2A missiles for our Sukhoi fighters, I don't really like the R27 except the IR guided version since it still uses semi-active radar homing. So if they'll have to cancel the Ukraine deal for R27 SARH, more power to them.

It does seem, however, that cancelling Su-35 is actually the right move for us no matter what the deniers said. Since Russia is now seen as an aggressor, it will only make it harder for us if we continue the deal with them.

In my opinion, The current higher ups in TNI and KEMHAN is quite adequate and proper.

That's my impression as well. Hope for the best that this will continue from now on.

Anyway, regarding the war in Ukraine right now, I'm worried that this will turn uglier if a certain country up North decide to also stir the pot in and around our frontyard at LNU.

Its even worse if new sanctions come because of this newest Russian moves. Just yesterday, their VEB was sanctioned by US. VEB is a bank that used to fund strategic Russian projects through debts, obligation and other methods. Thats mean, Russian project that using VEB money cant be funded by anyone who dont want to be sanctioned too.

I dont know if new Pertamina-Rosneft Tuban project also has money from VEB too or not, if yes, then that project must be stop for a while and find capital from other unsanctioned entities. Or we dont care about the sanction, then the sanctions will also applied to anyone who doing business and transaction with VEB, Pertamina would also sanctioned. Thats mean gak bakal ada modal lagi bagi Pertamina dari bank yang gak mau kena sanksi. I follow the events quite closely in Ukraine and what caught my attention is the Ukrainian government insistence on downplaying the whole threat to stabilize the economy. Zelensky had been warned multiple times by his own intelligence and (surprisingly) by Biden himself of the impending attack.

But the naivity of Zelensky meant that those warnings aren't heed, there's no announcement of martial law up until Russian missile started flying, Troops were not properly mobilized etc. All in the name of not harming the economy.

This kind of naive mentality reminds me of one title holder who insists (inspite of the overwhelming trends towards future conflict in the region) not to invest in the air force and buy only a squadron worth of jets to fill the 14th Squadron and focuses instead on the economy.
