76 mm dry wight it self is 7 ton.
Thats mean the gun, is not with the revolving magazine system.
20 kg per shell is TYPO things. I my trying to explain 28 pounds of the 76×636mmR. But instead conversions the pound first, I continued with the kg cause of typo thing.
That is the weight of the gun, 76 SR/Compact is shipped with the magazine and revolver system by default.
Dry refers to the weight without the cooling water.
I have given this link before, 7900 kg is the weight of the gun itself however it is shown in the picture.

20 tons is the gun's whole weight, excluding the foundation/base, including 1000 shells. (sort of a tradition to give weight of a medium caliber cannon with 1000 shells), just telling if you have seen it in some sources it is probably given as gun's weight + 1000 shells.
Just like 57mm itself is 7000 kg + 1000 shells = ~14 tons.

Can't see anything
It just installations of KCR 60 Shaft propeller.

Nothing much, but am curious why in earth every team work must be named (Sat Gas) "Satuan Tugas" ?
Tho if they named it "Gugus Tugas" sound like Scout boys 🤣

they can't standardize on 57 mm, can't standardize on 76 mm and can't even standardize on 20 mm and 30 mm. hope the admirals' lexus and crowns and land cruisers can serve as projectile to strike any would be enemies' vessels in future war

We already operated Russian 57 mm Naval gun for decades, much earlier and at greater number compared to Bofors gun (look at our Parchim class), for 20 mm gun class our Denel G12 20 mm gun is in the same caliber as our Hispano Suiza 20 mm gun and F2 gun already in place at our Tripartite class, and for 30 mm class much of our gun is based on chaingun model of Bushmaster.

The most fun part in a shipbuilding apart from cabling and gun/radar installation.
I wonder if there's any efficient solution for proppelling boat other than using shaft ? 🤔

Any way, since we talking about boat. If TNI seriously equiped with both Iver and 30FFM what kind of SAM will be installed? Some rumor say if France wouldnt sell Aster to non France made Boats?

Indonesia’s Unique Armored ‘Tank Boat’ Completes Sea Firing Trials

Indonesia’s Unique Armored ‘Tank Boat’ Completes Sea Firing Trials

Indonesia's Tank Boat @PT Pindad

Indonesian shipbuilder, PT Pindad has completed sea firing trails of its unique ‘Tank Boat,’ an armored fast attack vessel armed with a 30mm cannon and smaller weapons.

The ‘Tank Boat’ was conceptualized by the Indonesian Navy to carry out swamp, sea, river and coastal operations. The project was implemented by a consortium led by PT Pindad. The other companies involved are PT Lundin Industry Invest, PT Len Industri (Persero), and PT Hariff.

The Tank Boat also carried out a firing test using the main 30 mm cannon at the Paiton Navy shooting range. After the shooting, the Tank Boat continued the Sea Trial activity by returning to the Banyuwangi pier on Saturday, 22 May 2021. The total distance traveled was 170 Nautical miles, the manufacturer said in a statement.

The Tank Boat can carry 60 personnel and 5 crew, has a maximum speed of 40 knots and a cruising range of up to 600 Nautical miles. Equipped with the main weapon RCWS cannon caliber 30 mm and 2 machine guns 12.7 mm, Tank Boat is ready to protect the sovereignty and defend the territorial waters of the Republic of Indonesia.

According to the local media, it is equipped with a caliber 30 mm Cockerill 3030 cannon main gun and two 12.7 mm machine guns. The firing pattern on the canon dome is available in three options - single shot - 5 round burst - full auto. In the dome can be prepared 255 rounds of 30 mm ammunition in a two-drum feed system.

The secondary weapon of the C3030 is a 7.62 mm caliber coaxial machine gun. In order to increase the crew's situational awareness, there is a camera that can monitor 360 degrees. As a form of protection, the C3030 dome is equipped with ballistic protection up to level 5 STANAG 4569.

Other features on the dome of the C3030 are eight smoke grenade launchers and anti-sniper detection. The dome with a barrel elevation of -10 to 60 degrees is equipped with dual axis stabilized for targeting at night and daytime.

It depends on the speed regime and hull type of the craft, propellers (conventional) are quite efficient solutions for the hull types and speed regimes they are efficient.
For high speed crafts either surface piercing -diverted propellers or waterjets goes fine, both has their own perks.
For auxiliary classes podded propeller is sometimes more efficient but expensive, CODOE / IEP like systems removing the shaft also useful.
Future is shaftless, until thenbecomes reliable we will be getting shafts.

I think if they secure the deal with CMS and sensors then they would sell the Aster systems (I think it is also present on Royal Navy's Ships). It is not related to hull but electronics i suppose.
Since Japanese also wouldn't be considering CMS and electronics of others which will delay the project and add another dimension to complexity also they wouldn't like to be "just the hull manufacturer", i don't know that it is complicate, maybe Indonesia should just broker for a joint solution. :)

If Indonesia makes a sensor package with a collaboration, telling " this is my choice and base configuration for future purchases and all offers should be delivered with this" and brokering it with Japanese (=paying more) then it may be different though. It is all about how decently project is managed and how much money is planned to be sacrificed for the desired solution.

In my opinion Japanese hull + Japanese sensors would be a lot cheaper and faster than Japanese hull + Western sensors.

so why don't we settle on one then?

Even respectable medias like Jane's can get tripped sometimes. Let's see if they realize this and correct that mistake.

Janes Reporter (except the Malaysian one) alwasy said CN 235 production in Indonesia is based on license production instead of join development.

Some time reporter absorb wrong information and IMO the reason of why they dont check on either PT Dirgantara and Airbus website who said clearly it is a joint development program could be based on their attempt to conceal the truth.

Other western publication also has similar mistake on CN 235 joint Casa/IPTN (DI) program
