It is, they need to modify the ship ballast post upgrade to balance the upgraded mast, resulting in increased displacement of the ship.

There are rumor some years back to fit our LPD with Dardo CIWS, nothing come out of that rumor so far and AFAIK, new order for 40mm cannon will be coming from Italy Leonardo for the PC-60m patrol boat, I'm not sure whether they going to fit the same gun on the LPD or not though.

it is literally smaller tho' in compared with RNZN Aotearoa, ours only 125m in length and 16.5m in wide, while theirs are 173m in length and 24.5m wide
