In the end ships like this will have to be refurbished, its radars, CMS etc will have to be replaced. Some distributor company will be all happy to know that they'll have their share in modernizing one.

Maybe we'll see a repeat where ship #1 uses cms from Terma, the other from Thales and the third is from Navantia.

Battle of Java Sea, change the Japanese imperial navy with the PLA Navy and Dutch East Indies with Indonesia and Great Britain South East Asia squadron with Singapore Navy and Royal Australia Navy. Hope Indonesia can learn a lot from the battle and rectified the shortcoming as soon as possible, to have strength on your own is always the best way.

Btw Dutch East Indies, clearly has serious strategic mistake even as the Imperial Japan Navy started invaded China in 1936, they have done nothing serious to build up their Naval and air force capability, even when the Japanese annexed Korea, instigating Marcopolo bridge incident the Dutch still complacent, it just after the brokeout of Japan US diplomacy in 1939 the Dutch started to paying attention to the Japanese threat, but it was too late. So from the beginning the Dutch is destined to lose their crown Jewel of Indonesia. The Dutch East Indies by the time is economy Giant had good economy and large population number, if they put more resource into defense, intelligent and as early possible cooperated with Great Britain and US they would not be as easily to be conquered by the Japanese like then.

At that time Japan attacked using 3 axis. Each axis consisted of a long column of attacking forces with no more than 100 km wide between each flank. Hence this Japanese advancing column had been covered by their fighter planes more effectively due to narrow distance between each flank.

They leapfrogged Dutch/Allied strongholds and went straight to key strategic targets.

Learning from that lesson, we need to build solid capability in destroying a narrow column of strong enemy attacking forces that may leapfrog natuna and our other strongholds to go straight attacking Java/IKN.

Different budget slot, what they are fighting about is PT PAL Submarine assembly facilities to facilitate ToT scheme.

Btw, from MoD site, they are clearly talking about main weapon system modernization

My last post about Pohang when they didnt get the finance was both need to find something else to be agreed upon. Looks like both side couldnt find any solutions and decided to get back on plan A

Perhaps its not about the Pohang it self, but there are some bigger objectives both sides need to achieve together. And looks like both sides are already walking the good path towards the goal. Well done.
