So the Air Identification Defence Zone or somewhat are the leghtened hand of above teritotial air soverignty ?

And the more strong Air Force of the Nation the more wide its Air Space Teritory(sovereignty) ?
Although ADIZ should not be confused for FIR region, in practice ADIZ is roughly (but not always) an extension & ENFORCEMENT of the country FIR region, of which the FIR region itself typically already doesn't match the country land / sea border. To made things more confusing, if you check any FIR chart it's 3 dimensional in context with horizontal space are further subdivided into vertical space that may be managed by different country authority for each of those vertical volume.

Because there is no set of codified International Law whatsoever pertinent to airspace territory, it is more of a subject of geopolitic than international law. However, in practice there are few legal principles & consensus that are in use that generally speaking limit the vertical sovereignty of any nation to the Karman line, but then again the Karman line context is vertical and NOT horizontal

Anyway this appearance of New Zealand Orion ought to give our gov't more push to take the FIR region from Singkek. Although that Orion under no obligation to file flight plan, for common sense (flight safety) sake of everyone, they most likely have their transponder on during transit

Just imagine US Navy and their carrier fleets, in actual world each time such battle group passing anywhere in this world (including ours) area they Made their very own sky sovereignty over their radius of security task force area.
Just like during bawean incident.

So for the navy they get SMR and GPMG being installed on Bell 412?

The Gatling is for army right?
There was a time when the Navy (or the Marines rather) trialed the GAU-19

But I guess they prefer the ol' 5.56 GAU-17 as I spot some of those mounted on the RHIB

GAU-17 is lighter thus offer more flexibility, not to mention using 5.56 mm is far easier on the logistic than using .50 BMG

how come they do the night jump without the nvg?
The LZ is marked with bright light prolly.
Paling mendaratnya disekitaran lanud.
So many light from building bellow will help orientation and to move to LZ, but for operation in unknown area and limited or no light around LZ, NVG will be needed to avoid landing in dangerous place.

Familiarization & Adaptation

It is critical to familiarize with how your comrade look like during night ops (in NIR spectrum). Moreover, when you're wearing any set of equipments on your body including clothing and whatever inside those pockets it will feel different, your balance would be shifting around, that alone need adaptation. More so if your wearing full headgear system (it's heavy on your neck)

Actually PT Dock Kodja Bahari had large infrastructure to build anything at heavy Frigates level or even an LPD, it just their management is quite wrecked and corrupted. Below is their Floating Dry Dock in which had 9000 tonnage capacity, Made by Bandar Abadi Shipyard one of reputable Private Shipyard in Indonesia.

Drydock, slipway or crane capacity tells a little about the abilities of a shipyard and usually not related to their abilities. However, such drydocks only mean they are able to drydock large vessels for maintenance.

not related to us , but OMT actually have a very interesting part in australian frigate project , OMT also offer a shipyard design that could accomodate a huge order of warship especially the iver , you could see the video here , OMT is the one who designed the osborne shipyard in cooperation with the australian Aurecon .


if only indonesia not only look onto iver solution but also their shipyard construction solution .

i'am a bit dissapointed to our DoD or MoD, or whatever it called, they say the TNI-AL need a hundreds amount of ships, while currently only a few hundreds, and most of it were old and limited

we know that indonesia has a lot of shipyard (state and private owned) across the countries, especially in java, lampung and batam, and now we do have some sort of design bureau, even if it still a private company, like Terafulk,

with such amount of shipyard, we could easily build a massive number of ships, like waht china do,

the government should really maximize our production capacity, i know if they were able to implement it, Indonesia would be a real maritime dragon, as they dreamed

other countries, with a limited shipyard and low production rate, like singapore and aussy, they use their naval ship only for about 30 years or so, while we, we used it for a loooooong time, like kri multatuli and some lst, even from the 50s and 60s, that way too old, they are not efficient anymore

i hope the government really maximize our shipyard's potential, mubazir bro:(
