Just it is really small that gives an upper hand in crowded shallow waters with its flexibility to pass through coastal areas or shallow straits between islands. Thus i always assumed Indonesia has been interested in these platforms.
While this is about midget submarines, but there's one other thing that caught my attention:

Ever since Indo Defence 2016 when PINDAD and North Sea Boats introduced the "tank boat" project, I've been thinking along the same lines. Ofcourse, it's a different platform, but by having both surface and sub-surface combatants which are small, agile but still pack enough punch, it does seem that those places are where these two can be used most effectively.

The tank boat is for the army, though, so to be able to do what I just described above, there must be a tight coordination between the army and navy especially in those areas.

Unfortunately, although there was news that Indonesian MoD has ordered a number of it for trial in 2019, I have no idea how far the project has gotten by now - if it's still continues, that is.

Do you know how much is the price of Germans midget submarine these days? more than $100 mil?

It's probably wiser to just purchase the second hand unit of 209/1400 sub if new midget sub is too pricey. Brazil is offering their used 209/1400 Tupi class for only $70 mil including the refurbishment cost.
I could check what was the price of Type 300 (called TR200 /300) when offered to Turkey.
The price depends on sensors actually, like many other platforms.

I don't know what Pindad does, but what i know Cockreil was handling the turret part ( attaching the mast of the boat on the turret)
It has been 2021 and no hulls except the demostrator one, which is not a prototype, has emerged. Maybe something will be shown in indodefense
Update me if it has emerged, these two projects by PT Lundin is what i like the most so far. The klewang and the tank landing boat.

When do you plan to train all those personnel (referring to the latter 2 options of 12 and 16) also 3 years to procure 3 new submarines seems hard (unless used).

SDVs better to be designed according ,usually with less range, less endurance smaller in sizes. N310 would be a bit big and ineffective for that.

N310 is almost a real submarine except its payload and sensors are rather limited.
It is not easier to operate or maintain compared to a submarine as well it would be similarly same.
It almost has all similar sensors as a real submarine. And similar kind of machinery -shafting. (Unless we are talking about some crappy midget subs or N.Korea)

actually in Soeharto era we were almost accuired type U 206, and we already send the crew to germany, to be trained with this light sub, before monetary crisis struct Asia.

Sounds that the deal will be sign this year?
Or we still 'mbulet' again waiting for naval group proposal?
If everything like in Rapimnas, then the Navy would ordered Scorpene class, U214 class and KSS1 at almost the same time

Apparently TKMS delegation is being met with Prabowo and Erick Tohir

With Erick Tohir? nice! Defence and Industry representative sit together from the start. I like this, cut down some middle man and go directly into the BUMN, no more Mr.Analizer who sometimes act as an "agent" to win certain brand/type. Oh and please dont leave out the user completely 😁

There's a leak from Rapimnas that was shared here that we want to get the lithium battery powered Scorpene. TKMS has been developing lithium battery system for their submarine as well. So we better ask the Germans if it's ready yet for type 214 export.

Unfortunately, the Koreans only developing lithium battery sub for KSS-III.

Good question that I also want the answer.
That's our tradition.

Anndd he(or we?!) changed it...again LOL
in the end let's wait for amendment contract for fixed configuration "Nebak konfigurasi Iver Indonesia macam nebak kartu Uno"
Well.. at least we got a confirmation of ih using an aster missile. And also even though the radar configuration is changing the specs might not be that different.

We should have let "swasta" contribute too 😒
Babcock's Type 31 frigate for Royal Navy will use NS110. Wonder which one is more advance, NS200 or NS110?
I think NS100 family is smaller, compact, and less sophisticated version of NS200
