The most sensible choice . We haven't invested much in the sylver's system afterall .
It's not acqueinsed nor granted just out of petty ?? Well , fuck you too then ...

We'll get integrated more to the US system and environment and it will killed much of their future chance of sales

Everything is gonna be allright ...☕☕
i believe japanese type 03 Chu-Sam , which known as the only surface to air missile that used AESA radar for their seeker are also compatible with MK-41 (if indonesia doesn't want ESSM) , MBDA also ask japan to helped them integrate portable AESA radar for their future Meteor BVRAAM variants .

only if France willing to lose at weapon market again. (I don't see any future hope for france-made boats)

No one will resist to money, especially when it come in huge ammount.

Furthermore, there's stil vast option to mount VLS and missile to PAL Vrygate (hope they dont ruin this thing)

honestly Am more concern about what Electronic devices will be installed.

not MBDA asking japan but japan buying meteor for their F35 (because AAM4 too large to fit into F35 bay) and integrating them using their own (new) seeker.
.
.
.
the UK possibly would adapt those into their own service and replace their own meteor with it. so there going to be 2 version of the missile, one that using EU component and other using UK/Japan component.

Another thing is ain't Indonesia need to invest more like to license producing Naval based AA missile system, along with the VLS system. Need to remember, Indonesia actually had large requirement for Surface combatant warships. At least 16 Large Frigates, along with at least 22 OPV/Corvettes/light Frigate is the most minimum number based on three Fleets arrangement and Escort based units, not to mention peace time patrol duty.

Countries with advance technology in Naval Missiles system development but very minimum budget like South Africa (Denel group) and or Norway (Kongsberg) along with Sweden (SAAB) actually the most possible choice for such arrangement.

The other thing is Indonesia too need to license producing Naval gun system like 76 mm Oto Melara gun (or their South Korean copy), 57 mm Bofors gun and 35 mm AA gun (Rheinmetall AG)

It's cheaper too. Because ESSM has a larger user base and it could be quad packed, not to mention it's superior range.

The thing with US weaps purchase is that it's more transparent. Transparent is the word. Hence why we're not buying American.
Well , that too ... But we had enough with this bullshit ....

The way i see thing is ... AH's twits is part of the Naval's research efforts and fishing strategy . Trying to find something they could put as a leverages and pick some some money by create some pressure And situation where they could justify them self in and get profitted in the process ... Because i believe sincerely that the Naval group ( and French as whole ) wouldn't be that dumb enough trying to shoot their own foot.... twice and get killed forever as the consequence of such action . While AH was always a plausible deniability .

Too expensive. Licencing cost for placing those 💯Karya Anak Bangsa sticker cost more $ than to procure and use ready-made system. Besides, we still do not have the necessary industrial capability, let alone capacity to manufacture any high-tech product. And don't get me start with manpower requirement.

They got "iver" right?

Iver is not Thales FYI, it is under Danish Odense Marine Technology, the one undergoing designing phase with Babcock in designing UK's Type 31 Frigate

I hope our Iver would be fitted with Thales' radars and CMS considering that Terma is a potential contender in the sensors package

Anyway, whatever the configuration of those new frigates, we still critically need to retain the Parchim class in operational status
Those old grandmas are starting to make me worried tho' . While they still could fill the constabulary roles . old aging in the tropical climates are never kind to their hulls .

We do need ASW focused ships to replace those aging museums, i don't want to see another getting burned up or stricken after hitting something.....seems like MoD is focusing in multirole and AAW/ASuW aspect ships in the mean time

And nobody offers that.
VLS manufacturing is not a burden, usually in low-numbers
Missile orders should be around 1000 per missiletype, so that it would worth to open a production line.
Counting all those ships, i don't give much possibility for Indonesian VLS based missile (all groups MR-LR-SR-LACM) to surpass 500.
Better to make your own.

Told it before, worst way of negotiation using leverages in between of companies who are actually close and got organic ties. Haven't seen it works, belitting one company's (A) sensor package to another company(B) is definitely heard when people of those companies goes out dinner together at some other time. And it is an awkward situation when company(A) is contacted for the same sensor package for some other purpose. Short of the long story:
Either launch an official tender, to let those companies compete openly, or conduct negotiations behind the doors with manners.

All this head-breaking over an unrealistic gada-gado mix of systems in a gado-gado mixed fleet makes me laugh out loud :ROFLMAO:

You know, there is a friendly country that is developing all kinds of (naval) systems indigenously and isn't shy of cooperating and tailor making and ToT with the right amount of $$ and commitment.

There is no avoiding the Turkish MIC for Indonesia. If Pakistan can cooperate with Turkish MIC with 3x smaller economy than Indonesia, then Indonesia can do it too if not better.

You Indonesians in here should all be in unison : "Go Turk or go home!"*

*SoKor could be a 2nd choice but.............

Commitment is what we're lacking, and so does transparency.

Hence we bought VLS and SAM system from Euro OEM instead of cheaper more widely used system from the US.

The Dutch had been the main benefactors when it comes to ships and sensors for a very very long time. Because they know how to deal with locals
