Well, Azeris from Azerbaijan joined Nuri Pasha, Azeris from Tabriz didn't do shit, when Vehip Pasha was in Tebriz. I understand, it was a long time ago . I don't think that this would be good idea , South Azerbaijan joined Turkiye? In any case, they are more pro Mullahs then Iranians .
Of course, it would be even worse for Azerbaijan proper.
At some stage , people need to understand that sometimes when people are parted away, there's no practical return.
I am sure that there are some good and useful people there, but no. Not really. Iraqi Turkmen, who are Shia ain't friends of Turkey, afterall they come into existence as , only to oppose Ottoman Empire, that's their reason D' etre from day one. It has been good on for 600 years. It is too long.
Even Nadir Shah could had brought any sense into them. He was a Turk but Sunni . Simple and practical thing really, I am not writing this from sectarian point of view but simply pragmatism.
People don't need to be of the same nationality, even religion but they should have similar minds in regards of many things. This is not the case here.
I wonder if those various Turk empires could have seen today if they would have spent so much time warring with each other.
