I can see limied strikes using F35s supported by Tankers being successful. But Sending large numbers of 4th gen fighters in Iranian Airspace may not go well for Israel. Even though Israelis are well versed in SEAD/DEAD, Iran has vast network of AD systems in various layers, obviously they are not as good as the Western ones, still those could surprise us. And given the distance, Israel doesn't have sufficient supporting assets to sustain larges numbers of aircrafts in Iraninan Airspace.

Assuming it won't be a full fledged war and USA won't get involved, captured
pilot/downed jets won't look good for Israel. Even if it can do some damage to IRGC in the porcess.
I don't expect to see a major war either. A decent response might be mass cruise missiles strikes from the Persian Gulf, aimed at smashing much of Iran's oil exporting capacity along its southern coast, as well as international trading ports.

Essentially, you send the message that if they want to broaden the war, you're willing to take more steps towards destroying their oil export capacity and trading seaborn trading capacity, which in turn would deeply harm their economy and the quality of living experienced by their citizens.

Israel doesn't have such naval capability.

It’s interesting that whenever Netanyahu is cornered in domestic politics and people want him to step down, Iran gives him a helping hand by doing a senseless attack on Israel, first via Hamas, and now directly.

It’s almost as if Netanyahu and Iran’s leadership are best buddies.

Details of Iran's attack on Israel

Iran attacked Israel with 185 unmanned aerial vehicles. The New York Times (NYT) reported, citing unnamed Israeli officials, that the Iranian military also used 146 different missiles in the attack.

“Two Israeli officials said Iran fired 185 drones and 36 cruise missiles,” the report said.

In addition, the material claims that some of the launches were carried out from the territories of Iraq and Yemen, despite the fact that most of them were carried out from the territory of Iran. Officials also said Tehran used 110 surface-to-surface missiles simultaneously.

Only 7 missile impacts have been reported so far and according to the US and Israel, nothing important is hit. The US urges Israel to avoid escalation. Nice firecracker show

It was obvious those hundreds of dornes and crusie missiles won't get through. However, some of those dozens BMs penetrated the Israeli BMD and struck that air base. That's the only thing significant IMO.

There is nothing significant. Iran hit some empty buildings to save face and Israel got its 10+ billion aid. This is a well-calculated firecracker show.

The Israelis reported "minor" damage at the base. It is possible that nothing important at the facility was hit, but it's also possible that fairly significant damage was dealt.

What face has Iran been saving? With every attack on their bases, consulates, intelligence offices or anywhere else, they have more or less accepted it.
Either a high-ranking Iranian general or someone else important is blown up by the enemy.
The result is an embarrassing firework display that was announced in advance.
That's what I call a retaliatory strike without any benefit, and they made a fool of themselves as well.

What happened to Iran's exaggarated CEP claims and people praising Iran for the accuracy and guidance of BMs and cruise missiles? If 7 missiles hit, and if had any bit of claimed CEP with a simple math at least 3 of them should have made it to a useful target.

Israel, UK and US also should declare how many targets they actually intercepted so we would know out of hundreds launched from Iran, how many actually made it to target or even mid-course.

Claiming 100 missiles sent and actually sending 100 missiles is another thing, right?
Claiming 10m CEP and realizing 10m CEP is also another thing.
This was just a show by all sides.
How does this work, announcing an attack a week ahead and warning all the countries inbetween?
Dont forget the warning issued by Iran: If Israel wants more,we are ready''.
Ready with what?

Btw,the Iranians are celebrating on the streets of Tehran, unreal joke.😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Herzog congratulated the IDF ,another joke.

- Distract from the atrocities committed in Gaza and the West Bank.
- Attempt to restore damaged image from the western public.
- Accelerate/increase military aid packages from US/West.
- Play the victim.
- "The most moral army in the world" and "the only democracy in the region" is under attack! For NO reason!
- Israel has the right to defend itself, others, don't!
- Prevent measures to be taken from some western countries as a result of Israeli conduct in Gaza after this.
- Invoke International Law only when it serves your purposes.

I mean their exercise videos seems to correlate with their CEP claims. (I don't think these are fabricated)

We will probably know more from the damage assessment, the extent of what happened in that airbase.

hundreds of drones and dozens of BMs were used but no casualties and only one injured(a seven yo girl, may she recover quickly) from the falling debris.

+ It gave the perfect exercise to Israelis to be better prepared if the same action was repeated. they know what Iranian response look like now.
