Azerbaijan accuses Iran of firing at its territory as drones hit airport, school

Azerbaijan accused Iran on Thursday of firing two drones at its territory, injuring two people, and summoned the Iranian ambassador to issue a formal protest, as the regional fallout from the US-Israeli war on Iran spread to the Caucasus.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said one drone struck the airport in the Nakhchivan exclave, near the border with Iran, while a second landed near a school. In a statement, Baku condemned the attacks, demanded an explanation from Tehran, and said Azerbaijan reserved the right to take “appropriate response measur
es.”

Why not stop US-Isreal to airstrike Iran, and push them to admitting that aggression is wrong?
Or fight with Iranian in their land, maybe someone prefer this.
I think Iran has had a policy of aggression since the republic was founded. It was attacked in the hope of ending that aggression, wasn't it?

Killed thousands of its own citizens for religious reasons when first founded
Wants to destroy the US
Wants to destroy Israel
Wants to develop nuclear weapons which it might use against Israel
Supports armed groups undermining other countries
Killed many thousands of its own citizens in January for protesting - not for taking up arms against the regime
etc

I think the world would be a better place without an aggressive Iran. Ditto the US. Ditto Israel.

You can't justify aggression by one party and excuse it for others. Sadly all these bombs flying around in the area of the Gulf are unlikely IMO to achieve anything constructive. Without a change of thinking in the government in Iran, Iran will continue to be a threat to peace in the area. Its people will continue to suffer the effects of sanctions.

Meh. They did try hard to have peace with US before, during and after the hostage crisis, even after Lebanon.

This is also multifaceted. They never pressed the button on going the last mile for nukes for 2 decades.

Killed thousands of its own citizens religious reasons when first founded
Counter-revolutionary events are hardly religion specific.

Wants to develop nuclear weapons which it might use to against Israel
But it didn't.

Iran wanted to have its pie, its periphery and its crescent; not obliterate Israel. Iranian actions hurt Iraq, Syria and even Turkey more than it hurt Israel.

You know, there used be an agreement, Iran promise they will never develop nuclear weapon, and the sanction will be cancelld. Iran follow this agreement untill Trump quit it.
So the problem is never about nuclear.
For the other reason you said, Israel do more, why AUKUS, NATO, EU still stand with this genocidal regime?

Iranian regime being dumbfucks once again, who could have seen this coming.

and then their supporters will cry how everybody is siding against them in almost all conflicts.

Fires a bm towards Turkey yesterday and now fired drones against a civilian airport in Azerbaijan.
They said there are two BM.
Azerbaijan has the right to fightback, of course.

Shameful. Governments everywhere should have condemned the Oct 7 Hamas massacre and the following wholesale slaughter and destruction in Gaza. Many condemned the former; fewer condemned the latter. Western governments took no real action against Israel killing tens of thousands of civilians, demolishing the housing in Gaza or using starvation as a weapon of war.
