Politically speaking i would rate Turkey around 3 out of 10. Nearly falls into every trap prepared for her, shows little to no foresight over what she does, a good example the s400. Complete inability to achieve anything diplomatically and the nation spends most her time trying to correct her own silly mistakes, like destroying relations with nations for no personal benefit.

But Turks tolerate it so its their reward. The peace process was a good example, basically legitimised the PKK to the entire world, turned ocalan into an icon for Kurdish terrorism/separatism and then found herself facing a bigger PKK problem at the end of it all. The enemy starts the fire under the Turks and then the Turks go and throw fuel onto it thinking its going to resolve the problem.

Britain on the other hand i would say 9 out of 10. Nearly everything they do follows a long term strategy that looks to maximise British interests. Then when they go fight an illegal war to rob a nation of her resources they bring along friends to hedge the risk so that they can't get caught out all alone.

Now naturally Britians positions is far easier, part of the civilisation that conquered the world and existing as an island far away from any troubles. While the Turks sit in one of the hardest geographies on earth with nearly nothing but war, conflict and poverty bordering her. Then to make it worse she finds herself as the historic head of a civilisation that was almost entirely conquered and dominated by the current rulers of the earth. And unlike Europeans or white Christians in general who will find common purpose to oppose Muslims, most Muslim states today perceive and portray the Turks as their enemy. So Turks got everything a lot harder, even more reason why they shouldn't tolerate even the slightest political failure.

Lizz Truss became prime minister, she made economic decisions that were only 1% as bad as AK party has done, within 44 days she was removed. You see the difference?
How many countries try to destroy the economy of England? And how many does with Turkey?

Interesting analysis tbh
This is certainly another way to interpret the incident
Sadly, we may not be able to know the whole truth as many things are still shrouded in mystery

But I dont really think that such actions will force Turkey to even doubt Israel IMO! Rn, Israel's Mossad and Turkey's MIT are the best of friends proven by the fact that Israel recently helped MIT in capturing many Iranian agents within Turkey; thus, I dont really think that Israel had a hand in this fiasco

As for the Israeli tourists, lets not forget that most of Israeli citizens (wether men or women) are actually soldiers within the Israeli army. After the recent imrpovement in relationship, more than 660,000 Israelis went to Turkey for vacation in less than a year; co sidering that Israel's population is only like 5-6 million which means that nearly 25% of Israel visited Turkey and this may increase the possibility of military personnel being co-incedentally eithin the vicinity of the attack

Ofcourse all of this is theoritical as none of us have definite proof
I think you misunderstood his analysis in that part, he is saying that Iran was quick in shifting the attention to the two Israeli tourists implying that Iran hopes the relations of Turkey with Israel and US will detoriate again which would further isolate Turkey geopolitically and mean end to potential F-16 sales.
You can imagine how much Iran would enjoy these developments, now our hope is that the government doesnt play along their game and actually starts detoriating the relations.

But guess whats happening right now, governement is playing a very risky gamble just as things started to get better recently and i wish i could confidently say they are not this stupid but unfortunately i am not.

Now I see
Do you think the reason why Erdogan met with Biden today and accepted his message of support regardling the terrorist incident is to try and cover the grave mistake Soylu made, to preserve the relationship between Turkey and the US, and to prevent Iran from gaining what they want?

Anything else wont make sense, you can not first blame the US, reject its apology and then put their flags in a thank you tweet.

There are two groups within cabinet-Ak parti fighting each other. This is the result of it.

It sems like Erdogan is starting to loose control over his ministers, isnt it strange that interior minister can make statements that can jeopardise geostrategic interests to begin with?
Soylu should focus on establishing border and internal security instead of raising his mouth too much, he is far beyond the point where his head would roll if this was still Ottoman Empire.

Don't get too caught up in which countries are offering their "Condolences". Many countries on the list, and the so-called "Allies" of turkey are most hostile to the interest of turkey. The Moroccan king sent his condolences following the attack.

Here is the telegram message.

Majesty the King, “And after, I received with great sorrow and condemnation the news of the despicable terrorist attack that targeted Taksim Square in central Istanbul, leaving many innocent victims.”

His Majesty added, "On this painful occasion, I extend to you, and through you to the beloved families and to all the Turkish people, my warm condolences, accompanied by my prayers to the Almighty to grant you all patience and good condolence, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery."

And while I renew my strong condemnation of this cowardly attack, I assure Your Excellency of the Kingdom of Morocco's solidarity with your brotherly country and its absolute condemnation of all forms of abhorrent terrorism that targets the security and lives of citizens, and is rejected by all universal human values, His Majesty expressed his sincere feelings of sympathy and solidarity to the Turkish President.

I think a great deal of your post is not to me but for the audience here who would support the positions which you like and you know it will resonate with. Let's say s400 , do you think that any sovereign country would accept not to test something which cost 5bn? Or that system if needs to be used then it would have to go through central command of NATO? Or when we see the pricing then Sweden ( SUCH strategic country) gets such a bargain.
As of pkk , it was always interesting to me how it could have come to that they so indoctrinated? I wrote some time ago here that all left wing movements apart of the official communist party of Turkey were established by the West and the same was in Italy etc etc .
It is really strange to compare the position of Turkey and Britain, it is very strange parallel and I believe you are well aware of that.
I believe that mistakes were done but worse was looking for the friendship of the people whose biggest problem is when someone piss downstream towards their village and then they shoot in the air from balconies. Turkey shouldn't pay attention to the people obsessed with the " revolution " because, let's say just one city of those revolutionaries 1948 had the population of 200k but today over 2 millions, in other words it was only sex revolution ( pretty similar like the west in 60s)

You make a few points.

The first concerns the s400. Ok you brought it, soon after the Russians bombed Turkish troops as a reward. Politically speaking Russians are some of the most degenerate actors on earth. But you got the s400 you waved it in the wests face and then soon after the Russians blow away Turkish troops, realising that once you alienated the west the Russians felt they had Turkey alone and by the balls. Lucky for Turkey her military is quite strong and competent while the Russian military is just a joke army filled with drunks and thieves.

Anyway you give the americans the perfect excuse to throw Turkey out of F35, which they did. AK party tried to flirt with the idea that they would buy Russian planes or more s400 systems as a bargaining tactic to get back on the F35 program, the americans didnt care for it. Then later on AK party went back begging for the older inferior F16's which probably won't come either. So s400 purchase was made with no foresight, a complete political failure and fiasco.

Now people will say they never intended to give F35, they would have found an excuse, well they didn't need to find any excuses because you gave them a golden excuse by purchasing s400.

As for the PKK for decades now we have seen shambles after shambles, the peace process was hilarious. The Turkish state under AK party was promoting the PKK as legitimate actors and an important part of the Kurdish normalisation process. The PKK were even having open top bus parades in south eastern Turkey. We could go on and on concerning the political failure with the PKK. Only thing you can do with the PKK is destroy it wherever you find it, anything else only helps it.

Its not strange to compare the diplomatically and political skill of the British and Turks. Its no good comparing Turks with Afghanistan or Lebabnon, those are failed states. Just like we compare Turkish weapons with the worlds best, no good comparing them with the worlds worst.

How many countries try to destroy the economy of England? And how many does with Turkey?

You don't need outsiders for that you got AK party, they have done an exceptional job at destroying the Turkish economy. However it only adds to my point Turks cannot afford political incompetence you are sitting on a cliff edge. The British are far from everything, they are under no direct threats, Turkey sits in a region where the threats she could potentially face are double digits big.

That is exactly why I believe that Iran isnt involved in this incident
Israel's Mossad has been teaming up with Hakan Fidan to round up those Iranian sabotage groups; Moreover, Iranian style sabotage groups mainly involve assassinations and kidnappings and not bombing crowded areas unless it is located within Shia dominated areas

I stand by @TheInsider recent post/analysis that this is done by the PKK as revenge against TSK operations within Syria and Iraq and the reason I believe Soylu this time is due to the fact that prominent US newspapers have been saying about how the attack got carried out in Turkey's most visited tourist area rather than talking about how heinour the crime is or how an innocent lovely child got killed in this incident. This shows that not only the PKK but the US has gained something from this horrible event

As you can see, there is a catch within these articles👇 They dont care about who died but rather about the fact that it got carried out in "touristic" areas

We really need to believe Soylu on this one! This attack may actually play against the govt through the fact that ppl may question the efficacy of TSK operations within Syria and Iraq and this may be one of the goals the US is aiming for
I don't and won't believe any word that comes from the mouth of Soylu or Erdogan.
