That trailer behind BMC Kirpi II is brilliant, why don't they use such concept for hauling cargo instead of having cargo within the vehicle itself - wouldn't that be better the incase of explosives?

The Concept oh having an MRAP as a Carrier Vehicle is in itself illogical. The KIRPI is an APC not a Supply Vehicle.
> 2.6 Tons Payload Capacity with a Max. Weight of 23 Tons.

The Armored Cabin BMC 285

> 8.6 Tons Payload in 4x4 Config (15 Tons in 6x6) and a Max weight of 19 Tons. This is for Cargo.

I have no idea of the Benefit of Turning a MRAP in to a small Payload Carrier Vehicle can bring.

Currently Used for Ammo Supply

BMC 245-16P (Payload Capacity 7.9 Tons)

Soon.
65 Koluman Derman 8x8 (Payload Capacity 32 Tons)

Additionally the ANADOLU SAVUNMA Seyit 8x8 ( TATRA FORCE License) is also an option.

Note:
Mercedes Benz 8x8 has a Payload Capacity of 32 Tons
Tatra 8x8 has a Capacity of 23.5 Tons.

Mercedes is a Beast!

I just looked up BMC 8x8 Tugra which can also carry 32 Tons (Empty 11Tons and Max 43 Tons)

Might as well be Standard for that type of Truck.

I'm sure there's a niche use case for such a thing, otherwise why would it exist. However, i'd like to see armoured trailers - would free up a lot of the logistics headache for smaller detachments.

I like this concept.

Oh you mean on a Platoon level in order to avoid these:

The US Army has also taken notice.

I was looking through previous FNSS Videos to see if they still use Advance Design Solutions Products.

FNSS Pars IV 06/2020 Start of Serial Production.
> ADS Transfer Case

Allison 4500 Automatic Transmission.

The Engine OIL Filter with the Serial 1R-1808 belongs to the Caterpillar C9 Line of Engines

1641157520094.png
1641157791563.png

The Engine Power should be 525 HP because FNSS always aims for 20 hp/ton Ratio and since the Vehicle weighs 26 Tons this would be given.

Additional Info at this point.
FNSS usually went with DEUTZ Engines, specifically 482 HP Engine but due to German Embargo likely selected the CAT C9.

FNSS PARS IV 6x6
> CAT C9 525 HP

FNSS PARS IV 8x8
> CAT C13 711 HP

Is there a possibility that the ZMA modernization has been canceled? Can't find anything on FNSS site nor has there been any new info now for months.

Last update is from may 2021 with the prototype conducting firing tests.

I hope so. That project is an abomination. We need new vehicles, not try to upgrade vehicles that already reached their limit.

If it was cancelled sadly I believe it was done so because of budget constrains and not a opinion change to rather aquire new IFV vehicles.

The project was started a the end of 2019, we are in 2022 and there is still no vehicles that has entered inventory.

This reminds me more and more of the attempted Warrior modernization by the UK. I remember clearly I warned of this happening when it was announced. Lets hope we didn't drain 1 Billion Lira down the toilet.
