This is how 20 targets, including caves, shelters, shelters, warehouses and facilities belonging to the terrorist organization PKK, were hit in the air operation carried out in the Metina, Zap, Gara, Hakurk, Kandil and Asos regions in northern Iraq on September 2, 2024.

We congratulate the heroic pilots of our Air Force who successfully destroyed the targets.

MIT hit another vehicle with PKK terrorists inside in the area of Asos/Suleymaniye. Three more terrorists are neutralized. In the initial strike two PKK terrorists died in the car while a third one managed to get out of the car with heavy burn wounds. Well, he was lucky enough that MIT guided another munition at the third terrorist and killing all of them. This is one of the most brutal strikes we have seen so far.

During this spring and summer, the Turkish Armed Forces took numerous peaks along the Metina Mountain range, and also advanced south of Matin Mountain in the Zap and deployed to Tepe Bahar.

In other words, while there was a major operation, the organization was not able to carry out any infiltration.

There are several reasons why they are unable to carry out infiltrations. First of all, the effectiveness of the Turkish Armed Forces in terms of surveillance when the weather is good severely limits the PKK's area of movement.

Secondly, we can say that the Turkish Armed Forces are proceeding more carefully, especially compared to Claw-Lock 2022. The targeted areas were reached gradually. We are more experienced and calmer.

Thirdly, we can say that the new course of action that the Turkish Armed Forces started to implement this spring has been beneficial. Search and destroy operations from the front, road checkpoints against attacks from villages, reinforcements by the KDP in the area, etc.

Fourthly, the organization's field teams, especially in the Metina region, were neutralized by the Turkish Armed Forces. This so-called attack group was largely incapacitated.

And the fifth main factor is that we can say there were interventions regarding the shipments coming from Gara. Now lets examine this issue in detail. Because 3 out of the 4 infiltrations we experienced last winter were carried out by the teams coming from Gara.

Let's start with the events that took place in and around Matin Mountain. The Turkish Armed Forces established a base area in the Sergele Gorge, south of Matin Mountain, and established a new base area on the hill to the south, which the organization used to infiltrate the hill. In addition, a base area was established opposite the tunnel under Matin Mountain.

Another point is Tepe Bahar. The organization's only point in Zap was deployed. There is no problem with the tunnel, but since the base area on the hill is new and very exposed to the front, it is a very suitable target for kamikaze UAVs. In addition, a base area was established in the Deraluk Strait southeast of the hill.

The capturing of both the Deraluk Strait and the Sergele Strait, the two straits that the organization uses to infiltrate from Gara to our areas of operation was critical. In addition, the Balinda Strait is also held by both the Turkish Armed Forces and forces affiliated with the Iraqi Central Government.

PKK targets in the villages of Mije and Spindar, north of Gara, were destroyed from the air by F-16s. The positions used by the organization as bases, warehouses and surveillance spots in the area were destroyed.

There are signs that we are more careful about shipments from Gara to Zap. In the video shot by Rudaw from under Gara, there are the graves of four terrorists who were killed while hiding under a tree after descending from Gara Mountain in the evening last week - the PKK did not disclose these -

They use civilian areas for shipments between Gara and Zap and do business with civilians. If the TSK's capabilities and regulations are not sufficient for direct action operations, we think that MIT can greatly relieve the TSK in this region.

In the information we read in open sources, we saw that civilians indicated the roads that the PKK used and called not to use those roads. It is also seen that the villagers were condemning people among themselves about some of their relatives working with the PKK.

As for the base areas close to the flat land and villages, it is thought that the base areas are in sufficient condition. When the reinforcements are examined, it is seen that almost everything went to these base areas. There is little risk that the base areas will be infiltrated except for the base area just below Matin.

As for the Seri tunnel, it is thought that it is still the most fortified and crowded tunnel in Claw-Lock AO. They may still be able to attack in the winter. But as we mentioned above, with the straits being held, it seems unlikely that they will be able to send reinforcements to Seri.

There is no extra events in the Metina region. Everything continues as we left it. There are not many initiatives towards the tunnels there. It seems that the Turkish Armed Forces no longer want to take the risk of martyrs or injuries in initiatives towards the tunnels.

Lastly, it was a good year and we hope it continues like this.

I am certain that US withdrawal isn't going to affect us much as I see it. I know Kartal mentioned that if US withdrawes then Iran will focus on us, but I bloody hope that we've prepared plans for it.

MIT's UCAVs carried out a strike against a PKK target in a building in the Makhmur camp. So far different sources report different number, but there are 2-3 seriously injured terrorists in result of the strike. The strike took place at 160km depth from the Turkiye-Iraq border.

Lets see a bit of what's happening in Hakurk.

We started to move south after many years in Hakurk. TSK units took control of Kamkura Mountain, which has an altitude of 1760 meters, southwest of Tatasur, where they were deployed last fall.

If we look at the PKK's statements, there are search and destroy activities targeting Lolan (1), located south of Mount Sekif, and Tabir Mountain (2), located south of Mount Kamkura, which was taken under control this summer.

This is the first time we established presence more than 30km into Iraq during a combat operation.

Is this your own map? If it is, is it open for public view?
No. The maps that we use here are maps of https://x.com/hakikatsizler and https://x.com/BarracudaVol1 . This is why we try to give them credit for their hard work. The reason we upload the images sometimes without the links to the posts is due to the fact that their twitter accounts are often suspended temporarily or permanently and we lose the content (archive).

As far as I know the maps are not public and usually the response to requests are negative.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's first foreign visit is to Iraq, with the primary focus on economic cooperation. He toured all political and economic centers across the country, including Baghdad, Basra, and Najaf. In the Kurdistan Region, Pezeshkian visited both Erbil and Sulaimani, recognizing their distinct economic ties with Iran.

Notably, Pezeshkian spoke Kurdish extensively during his visit and even responded in Kurdish when a journalist posed a question in imperfect Persian. This is particularly interesting given Iran's own sizable Kurdish minority population. Pezeshkian's willingness to publicly use Kurdish demonstrates a notable approach that shows Iran's flexibility when it comes to linguistic and ethnic diversity.

This is significant: Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji has stated that Iraq is in talks with the UN to relocate Iranian Kurdish opposition groups to a third country. These groups have already been disarmed and temporarily resettled in six camps - four in Erbil and two in Sulaimani.

Al-Araji further stated: "We have evacuated 77 bases near the Iraq-Iran border, which were occupied by 'separatist groups'" (referring to Komala and KDPI forces). These locations have been handed over to Iraqi border guards, and Iraqi forces are now stationed at these bases.

The PJAK exception: Interestingly, while other Iranian Kurdish groups have been disarmed, both Iran and Iraq have remained notably silent about PJAK. This group continues to operate actively in the Penjwen, Sharbazher, and Mawat districts along the border between Sulaimani province and Iran, having neither evacuated its bases nor surrendered its weapons. In fact, a multiple recent Turkish drone strikes targeted their positions in the region. PJAK, as the Iranian affiliate of the PKK, is considered one of the more formidable Iranian Kurdish armed factions. It boasts a cadre of battle-hardened fighters who have gained substantial combat experience alongside the PKK in Turkey and in Syria.

It is revealed that we neutralized the so-called PKK leader for Makhmur, a terrorist taking place in the "RED" Most Wanted List, code name "Adil Mardin", Azad Akinci. The 3 women injured in the strikes were out of the building in the time of the strike according to the latest information we have.
