The Russians have begun withdrawing their troops and military equipment from a helicopter base in Qamishli, Syria.

A year ago, fearing Syrian retaliation, they withdrew troops from other bases as well, transferring personnel and equipment to Tartus and Khmeimim.

I think they knew from the beginning they had no future. No sociologic or historical background, just bunch of thugs etc. May be, just may be they hoped SDG to become pain in the neck for us.

We may have some relations in the future with Israel like 5 or 10 years from now, we dont know. But if they interfere militarily, that means game over, this option will be gone forever. They are not that stupid.

Quite frankly, we would do the same if we could hinder their strength. Especially to a powerful nation whose history is full of establishing and overthrowing states and empires. That is natural, particularly in middle east. I just wanted to point out these SDG and supporters lost their minds enough to believe it that Israel would come to their aid at the cost of completely losing Türkiye

Greece is hopeless imho. They are living between in a dream and nightmare and no realism whatsoever, still. I think they will never give up. Logic and realism tells us what you point out, I hope so. But history tells us the quite the opposite. Even before the Conquest of Constantinople, their finance was completely collapsed, they didnt give up anyway, they even threatened the Sultan Mehmed for releasing Prince Orhan and trying to find allies in Europe.

I dont want to be out of context, but throught their history, they have had lands large enough undeservedly because of their excellent diplomatic capabilities. That is where we are not so good at it. When they dont think defeat us militarily, they will try to contain and isolate us diplomatically. Waiting until one day we become weak. That is what they always do.

However, I forget where I read it, an important foreign academic article said that rise of Turkiye is a historical inevitablity. I think so that way, it may be delayed but noone can stop it, even ourselves.

The reason Greece, even though it has no legitimacy in their claims regarding Med Sea and is both smaller and weaker than Turkey, has the balss to continue defending their ridiculous claims is because they know that the EU will break the law if it meant it will help their "christian" friend defeat the "turk"

Armenia lost because it didnt have "materialistic" backing. However, Greece does possess such backing. Greece has land borders with EU states, is a member of both EU and NATO. Finally, Dont forget that the only reason Greece was created was to keep Turkey in check and prevent it from growing

Latest news/rumors in Syria:

🔺️Firstly, the SDF (as always) is postponing the implementation of the deal they signed on January 18th! The main issue lies in the hierarchial structure of the SDF in which many heads have a say in the decision-making process. Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed are supporting the deal but the ringleaders in Qandil and the Women's protection unit of the PKK want to fight till the end

🔺️The SDF have begun a massive campaign to fire any soldier in the SDF ranks that is of Arab descent or has any relation to an Arab whatsoever in fear of betrayal by Arabs and them losing anymore territories

🔺️As I said in the previous "recent news thread", The PKK has begun a massive campaign to try and gain political support and it has been quite successful so far; led by Israel, the PKK managed to lobby dozens of US politicans to pressure Trump into creating some sort of autonomous zone for the kurds in Hasakah. It seems that the bromance between Trump and Erdogan is the onky thing keeping the US from supporting the PKK for now. However, till when will it hold out is something we will have to see

🔺️Former US Ambassador to Turkey (as far as I remember) admitted that the main reason they sided with the PKK is to prevent the Turks from going in Syria and trying to reunify it

🔺️The govt threatened the SDF that if they didnt comply with the deal within those 15 days, they will initiate a military op and cut their connection with Iraqi kurdistan. Moreover, they stated that the next deal's terms will be even more disadvantageous than the current one

🔺️Massive military convoys including Tanks have been spotted entering from Iraqi Kurdistan towards PKK-held areas

🔺️️The reason Israel wanna support the kurds so badly rn is that they havent yet found a "legitimate" excuse to try and keep control of the strategic Mount Hermon! Israel is under pressure from the US to sign a peace deal with Syria but they dont want to hand over Mount Hermon no matter the cost as it acts as a perfect offensive point into Damascus for Israel's greater Israel project. Moreover, it is a high point that provides Israel with a high view of all of Damascus and its rural areas

🔺️Some rumors are circulating that Israel is planning a massive plan to expel and migrate around 1 million Syrian arabs from the area between Israel and Druze-held areas in order to start a miliatry campaign to occupy more lands and reach the Druze if Israel cant find a legal cause to stay in the new areas they occupy. This has been supported by the rumors that Israeli drones are spraying harmful chemicals on farming lands located in Quneitra countryside

🔺️In case the SDF failed in realising its semi-autonomous plans, it is reported that they are asking for major ammendments to the January 18 deal in which they get incorporated as 3 groups (not individually), the Syrian army has no right to control where such groups will be deployed and no right to fire any member of such group, they also want to have the right to eternally elect the governors of all kurdish-held areas with no Syrian veto power and finally have the right to eternally elect the deputy minister of defence of the Syrian army

🔺️As for the Turkish field, in a surprising turn of events, Erdogan has stated that he will continue supporting Al-Sharaa in his fight against the PKK no matter what and that Turkey will not allow for a separate army to be formed in Syria. On the other hand, mighty Ozgur Ozel has stated that Al-Sharaa has both no legitimacy and is nothing more than a terrorist and stated that any attack on PKK-held areas will be a crime against humanity (or whatever people call it these days). Moreover, he wanted a humanity corridor between Turkey and Kobani

🔺️Some rumors are emerging that Israel is willing to sell out Al-hijri and his militias as long as they keep Mount Hermon

🔺️France is worried that with the fall of the PKK in Syria, Turkey will have completely destroyed all the bothersome elements on its borders (Armenia, PKK in both Syria and Iraq) distracting its attention from Greece. Therefore, Macron has been threatening Al-Sharaa that any attack on PKK-held areas will promote new sanctions on Syria and that France wont stay silent
