is it technically possible to use small ramjet on kuzgun-TJ ?
Ramjets for 155mm artillery rounds have been envisaged. But there is a limit about the size and cost effectiveness of a ramjet engine. This also includes the amount of fuel used to achieve range.
I think your answer is in below site!
Technically it could be possible. But practically why would you need an expensive mode of thrust on a cheap easily expendable missile, when you can achieve similar results with rocket engines, especially if you have to use a booster to activate the Kuzgun’s ramjet in the first place? Ramjet is more complicated, and expensive, than a solid-fuel rocket motor. TJ version of Kuzgun can start it’s engine from the very second it is launched. You need to bring the ramjet engined Kuzgun to over 1.5 Mach at least before it’s ramjet engine kicks in.
Having recently learned that 155 mm ramjet artillery shells are now a thing, I wonder how much ramjet engines can be miniaturized. Could we see ramjet tank shells? Man-portable recoilless guns? Sho...
