The Kara Atmaca is new, probably not even entering LRIP yet. Any idea of the production rate once its FRP ?

This is the first time that Landforces will get cruisemissile, so if we compare it with BM. Several hundreds like BM?

Will be bound to seeker production rate. There is no foreseen issues with rest of the systems anymore and Kale Arge (producer of the TJ) has assured that they are capable of establishing serial production at any rate.

They don't even have NATO General Purpose bombs, nor aircraft that are configured to use them. Smells like BS.

How many does this translate into numbers per year ?

Or maybe does Turkiye uses the US lot system for its missile production, if yes, how many missiles per lot ?

When Bangladesh air force has more PGM kits than my country has.

Sounds like affordable enough, how much is the cost for the kit only ?

Edit : ok its $25000
Really affordable and for Turkish Air Forces, it's natural that the price is lower. Teber use dual guidance (ins/gps and laser), therefore I suppose the price of HGK (ins/gps) and LGK (laser) is also lower than 25k.

Which is something i don't know since Roketsan is getting into IIR (likely multi-band for Kara atmaca) seeker business recently. Missile might be tested within 2023, LRIP may take place from 2023 to 2025 and then we might get full rate production. It takes a sometime to establish the ecosystem (which was the first challenge in earlier times).

For the lot system, i have no information. @Cabatli_TR ,@Yasar, @Nutuk will tell better.

I found this very old news in web. Most probably, Turkey got 200 Popeye 1 from Israel. Further orders for Popeye 2 co production had been cancelled. But still there were weak claims about Popeye2 presence in TurAF inventory. And as far as I know F16s can not carry Popeye 1.

"December 7, 1997 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Turkey has decided to increase its Popeye precision-guided, long-range missile order from Israel from 100 to 200. The missiles can becarried by both Turkish F-16s and upgradedF-4s."

Turkiye can integrate any bomb to any aircraft.

This price probably includes testing equipment, training, etc. The stand-alone price should be even lower than that. BTW this is my educated guess. I don't have concrete info about the deal and don't quote the unit price as 25k $. We are producing the JDAM equivalent lower than "20k $ probably around 18k $ for our own use". Export prices might change. Integration studies on fighters should also cost a good amount.

TR has no production capacity problem for free-fall precision bombs. We can easily produce 5k guidance kits in a year. Roketsan, Aselsan, Tubitak, Asfat, Kale can produce jdam like munitions.

Bayraktar will be used against cruise missiles, kamikaze drones and other UAVs, and even maybe chopppers.

Exportation of TRLG 230 and ground based EW equipment is another important step. We will see Turkish hunter killer concept in battle.

These news are just nonsense right now. If we were blind enough to send missiles to Ukraine, we would have sent the M270s, which are nearing the end of their life.
