First controlled flight tests of Atmaca happened in 2016. In parallel with designing of the missile and its maturity as an product, guided tests increased and with unarmed prototypes missile tests carried in order.
In 19 September 2019 and 3 November 2019, different features and attacks concepts/profiles were tested. While first tests were land-based, first sea test of Atmaca was completed 3 November 2019.
For target, orange object with radar reflector was used.
In 1 July 2020, 25 September 2020 and 18 December 2020 total 3 tests happened. Atmaca succeeding in all tests, passed the first qualification tests.
In 1 July 2020 tests, Atmaca hit its target from 220km with sea skimming flight mode and pop-up maneuver. In an another test Atmaca switched to a new target using datalink during flight. (No info if KEMENT was used)

In 29 August 2020, Atmaca was tests were planned between 30 August and 5 September. TCG Işın was planned to be used as target. Tests were delayed.
In September 25 tests, Atmaca was successfully tested under EW attack. Atmaca's GPS was turned off and with limited navigation systems it successfully hit its target using its own INS.
During ITU Savtek 2021, SSB said that engine family between 3kN-5kN will be developed using KTJ-3200 as a foundation.
KTJ-3200 can't directly replace TR40. Atmaca and SOM needs some modifications to use it. 80 SOM is planned in the first phase, with a total of 415 SOM missiles. First delivery of KTJ-3200 is planned 2021.
Atmaca said to resist 12+G
Atmaca's cost is less than $500,000
Atmaca Phase 2 (Block 2) will earn 533mm torpido launch capability. It said that along with Ku-Band Active RF Seeker, IIR Seeker will be added. Cooled MWIR sensor is rumored.
