It had a 9km to 10 km range and had subsonic speed.
Later on it was developed in to RUM-139 version that is capable of being launched from a VLS and has a 1 Mach speed and 22km range.

Initial version has since been discontinued. It is a weapon circa Cold War era. Later iterations are still around.
The most effective version was the nuclear one which carried a nuclear warhead that detonated at depth taking out a submarine within a km for sure.
The conventional warhead version behaved like a standard torpedo.
