Greeks are getting really predictable and boring now. If that was our aim we could have paid Qatar, under the table, to misplace one of theirs ages ago. It's not like France goes around Qatari munition depots counting them one by one.

Even if France could check one by one, nothing would change. A well-organized and very large team could examine and copy any air-to-air munition in its entirety within 24 hours. Even down to the source codes!

The munition would then be placed back into the EF-2000 fighter jet and destroyed by firing it as soon as possible under some pretext.

Thus, the French would not have the chance to examine the munition for copying in Qatar. The Greeks cannot even think of this. This is a very surprising situation.

So apart from knowing the kinematics details of meteor that will aid our planes to counter it, there will be very little extra we can learn from it. As you rightfully pointed out, whatever needed to be learnt may already have been done with Qatari meteors.

I fully agree to you. If we go by the Meteor example, let's say you examined the Meteor Missile in 24 hours. The problems starts after that. Especially those with very tight tolerances and requiring long periods of trial and error to integrate into the system, will often be extremely costly. In the Meteor example, this part should be solid-fuel ramjet.

Therefore, instead of copying directly, after understanding the main ideas in the Meteor missile, it is often cost-effective to produce a similar missile from scratch with your own interpretation and techniques suitable for your own infrastructure.

This is probably why we chose nanoparticle Boron doped gel technology for the Gökhan Missile, because we already have expertise on Boron.

Some highlights:

-Larger rocket motor (Near 300 mm arty rockets in size) combined with hybrid rocket propulsion will be a significant leap from the range regime of GLSDB
-TOLUN IIR should be backwards (terminologically and quite literally) compatible too but we might have to put some sort of aerodynamic cap to protect the seeker
-GÖKTAN is implied as a system rather than a munition so I see different payloads being integrated too in future.
